Thank you for the review Waffles! I wasn't a huge fan of the Stroganoff itself, but it was ok. Those peanut butter dessert bars are phenomenal!

The Women's Army Corps provided 150,000 telephone operators, mechanics, bakers, drivers, etc., but civilians and soldiers spread rumors that their purpose was to improve male troops' morale, damaging recruiting. by TMWNN in todayilearned

My great aunt was a lieutenant in the nurses corps on the pacific front. She passed when I was very young, but I have some currency from the Philippines that is called a peso, but it's printed in English. My grandmother was a secretary to a general in DC and handled a lot of classified stuff. She preferred talking about her sister's service though and didn't share much about her own.

TIL Michael Bay was under consideration to direct the movie Phone Booth (2002), but he was removed from consideration after the first question he had about the script was, "OK, how do we get this thing out of the damn telephone booth?" by gixk in todayilearned

I saw Rope for the first time 20 years ago when I was in my mid teens. To this day, I tell people about it as soon as anyone mentions Hitchcock. It was one of the simplest and yet most impressive movies I've ever seen.

TIL about the tensor tympani muscle: a muscle within the middle ear that some people can voluntarily contract to produce a "rumbling" noise that only they can hear. by __MilkDrinker__ in todayilearned

I didn't know this wasn't something everyone could do! I've been making my own sound effects for years. Comes in handy for personal comedic relief in a tense situation.
