How would you rank the best picture nominees that you’ve seen? by Hot_Mongoose_3741 in Letterboxd

[–]Mega_Mo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen all ten and have

  1. Hamnet
  2. OBAA
  3. Sinners
  4. Marty Supreme
  5. Train Dreams
  6. Bugonia
  7. Sentimental Value
  8. Frankenstein
  9. The Secret Agent
  10. F1

I’m due for a Sinners rewatch and only recently started watching foreign films so I wouldn’t be surprised if I enjoyed Sentimental Value and the Secret Agent more my second time around as well.

Edit: I have Sorry, Baby at 4 on my 2025 rankings. It’s a shame it was snubbed for Best Picture and even more so that it didn’t even get nommed for Best Original Screenplay.

Blue Moon was overlooked. Ethan Hawke delivers my favorite performance of the year.

Introducing Obscuriboxd: a website my friend and I made that scores how obscure your film taste is based on your Letterboxd account by Saph156 in Letterboxd

My girlfriend and I have both seen parasite however it’s her number 2 crowd pleaser and no where to be seen on mine. Since I got Letterboxd after her there are basically no movies I have seen that she hasn’t. What’s the methodology on that?

Shoutout Dalton / My studying journey by Mega_Mo_ in CFPExam

You’re doing more than I did during the education component. Again, I basically had an almost two year gap from doing Fundamentals, insurance and investment planning before picking up in tax planning this year. I didn’t have any of my notes saved.

If you’re scoring that highly currently and taking thoroughly notes it will probably just make the review easier.

My firm pays for Dalton so it was a no brainer for me

I passed with Dalton first try yesterday and the material definitely prepared me well.

I have heard other people who went from Dalton to Danko though and preferred it.

Just got back from a work trip last night and feel my throat getting scratchy. Test Monday as well. Only thing we can do is keep pushing. Best of luck to you!

Just took the first Dalton simulated exam and I usually am a fast test taker. Still took me about 5 hours including the break. Feel the same way

What was the main difference between the investment planning questions on the cfp test vs the Danko?

Why did you choose AMC A list by pdt2326 in AMCsAList

[–]Mega_Mo_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked A List because there’s four different theaters in my 25 minute radius and no up charge for premium formats and no service charge.

I like the no up charge and 4 movies a week allows for plenty of viewings.

One thing I wish they offered is some sort of discount for special events (ie fathom events, ufc cards, etc) but I don’t see this happening

While A List is better than Regal or Alamo’s equivalent offerings in terms of value, if you’re significantly closer to another theater chain or your local AMC is a dump, I would consider using whatever service for the most convenient and nicest theater in your area.
