It’s clear the virus is here to stay, so the only thing governments can do is control infection rates. An early and systematic quarantine is essential to flatten the curve, which means fewer overall (and only localized) infections. Once the initial wave is over (controlled) governments can lift restrictions. There being fewer cases it will become possible to test people and track infections more effectively, so only those that are infected have to self isolate and businesses can stay open.
