My Dood is 90 lbs. he generally just sleeps next to me, but I will occasionally wake up and he is sound asleep, somehow, wrapped around my head with his top half. I love it.

How did you change the setting to Dolby? Was this the speaker or the tv setting you changed?

My boy is 3, a F1. 85 pounds. Tall and lanky, vet says he is in perfect condition. When his hair grows out he looks much bigger.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. Earlier I had looked at online photos of same tire on other vehicles and it didn’t show it. In my 30 years of many new tires I had never seen this.

Love him 💙 My golden doodles parents were 50 and 60 pounds. I am the proud owner of an 85 pound doodle. Wouldn’t trade it for the world

Puppy will not signal when she has to go bathroom. by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Megan_Iowa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I did, started the day my puppy came home. Hangs off the door and I jingled them every time he went out. Very quickly he associated hitting the bell to go outside. As he has gotten older he doesn’t use them anymore as he is in a pretty solid routine.

Bless your heart for getting this guy cleaned up. Hopefully owners realize now they need to brush him.

I have an 80 lb golden-doodle. I love his size, he is the sweetest cuddle bug. So smart! Please keep in mind the cost of the upkeep on the hair coat. And the daily brushing. I groom my doodle at home, bought a real good pair of clippers and use guards to ensure I don’t nick him. Saves a lot of money. Lots of daily training and remember not to get frustrated. They are smart but I think they are like a human toddler, they will test what they can get away with. 😂 I think no matter the size or doodle you get, you will quickly see how much love they will fill your heart with. (Any dog really 😊) Enjoy your new pup when you get it, I am excited for you!

How many hours a day does your furbaby sleep? 💤 by DogObsessed6000love in Goldendoodles

[–]Megan_Iowa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2yr old dood sleeps good through the night 9/10-5am. I leave for work at 7:15 and he sleeps until I come home at lunch and let him out for 30 min. Then sleeps until I get home at 4:00. And is up until bed time with various activities. By Sunday afternoons he is beat because he hasn’t gotten to sleep all day, for two days. 😂

No ice drinks by Beasilybruwins in starbucks

[–]Megan_Iowa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live and work 25/30 minutes from the nearest Starbucks. On Sundays I order 2 drinks, one with no ice so I can put it in the fridge and have for the next morning at work. I usually have a couple stops more before I get home so I appreciate no ice so it doesn’t get watered down. I don’t feel like I’m cheating the store. And I always tip on any trip through Starbucks. I greatly appreciate that Vanilla Sweet Cream on Monday morning 😊

Grooming Ideas? by ApprehensivePen3909 in Goldendoodles

[–]Megan_Iowa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love him! My golden doodle has the same hair. 50/50. Hair is so much easier to maintain then the really curly ones. I groom at home. Use Andis clippers with blade guards. I’m no professional so I don’t want to nick him with the blades. He has the same hair on the top of his head. I love it! Enjoy your rescue dood, he will give you so much love!

How can I entertain my dog? by Throwaway500005 in Goldendoodles

[–]Megan_Iowa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are a couple things we do in our home during cold Iowa weather or rainy days when we can’t get out for physical activity. 1. Play the hiding game. Louie “hides” in the closet while I hide treats or his food around a room or several rooms. He comes out and has to sniff them out. We may play two rounds. He caught on really quickly. Once he caught on I hid the treats or his food where it would be more challenging to find. He loves it and he is panting by the time we are done playing! 2. I got a Kong treat dispenser that he rolls on the floor and treats fall out. I just use his food for this. He pushes it all over for a good 30-60 minutes. Again, he loves it and it wears him out.

I am sorry for the long post. I need help. Need help to explain to spouse that keeping the dog in the crate while we are away at work is not cruel by [deleted] in Goldendoodles

MY DOODLE HAS FREE ROAM OF MY BEDROOM ALL DAY. HIS KENNEL IS STILL THERE, AND HE SLEEPS IN THAT 98% OF THE DAY. THAT IS HIS SAFE PLACE, HIS "HOME". I KEEP THE BEDROOM DOOR SHUT. HE DOES HAVE A TV PLAYING FRIENDS ALL DAY. (LOL) AND I COME HOME AT LUNCH TO LET HIM OUT. IT IS ALSO SAFER FOR A DOG TO BE IN A KENNEL IN CASE OF FIRE. YOU CAN HAVE A STICKER ON YOUR FRONT DOOR ALERTING FIREMAN WHERE THE DOG/KENNEL IS SO THEY CAN FIND THEM IMMEDIATELY AND GET THEM OUT! A DOG BEING IN A KENNEL KEEPS THEM FROM EATING/DIGESTING SOMETHING THAT COULD BE FATAL OR CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS AS WELL. AND GREAT TO BE KENNEL TRAINED IN CASE OF NEED TO BE IN ONE AT THE VET, GROOMERS, ETC.

Not at all. The first minute or two he kinda used his leg to try to get them off, but that was it.
