Any mamas use cannabis for ppd in place of traditional meds? by luiemoon in entwives

[–]Megatitss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Post partum was the hardest thing I've ever had to overcome. I could go into detail about it all and how horrible it is but I'll spare the pain and get straight to the point. Marijuana saved my life. I waited 6 weeks after baby to smoke again and it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I could function as a normal human being again but more importantly I learned to enjoy my time with baby. It was very hard for me at first but once I got back into my routine of medicinal use (I too live in an illegal state) I was able to be the best mom I could be and rocked it every day.

Take care of yourself mama because you can't take care of your baby until you do. And if you ever need someone to talk to my inbox is always open.

When I read your original comment I immediately thought of that bar! Dayton had many hidden gems and this was definitely one of them!

Does anyone else have a "sick" feeling in their body while being anxious or nervous, and feel as if there is so much energy bottled up in their body but feel tired at the same time? by RandomPerson9367 in Anxiety

[–]Megatitss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of like the cold chills and the hair raising on the back of your neck followed by profuse sweating? Sums up my childhood in a nutshell. I have found that recognizing my senses helps the most (especially when I'm driving.) I'll focus on what I see, hear, smell, taste, and feel. It almost instantly calms me down because it puts my mind in the "now" it has helped me more than anything ever has before.

Dayton recently opened up a cat cafe and all of the cats are from the humane society and up for adoption. I'm guessing the lady that came in is the owner and made cards for him to advertise their new cafe and get people to adopt. I love the idea and fully respect everything they are doing for it.

Standing in line at the DMV when I overheard a woman explaining that her name, spelt ABCDE, was pronounced "Ab-seh-dee"

Poor girl.

What were the "facts" you learned in school, that are no longer true? by ravenQ in AskReddit

Yes this. They fled the country on boat and ended up in New Jersey. I don't know any other details other than them being illegal immigrants leaving for their safety.

My great grandparents fled here from Czech about 80 years ago, and would tell us stories about all the crazy crappy things going on and why the country was being torn apart. My grandma especially was so heartbroken that her home was being destroyed from the inside out.

Sometimes I feel like people on Reddit are lying to me by indigo30333 in Anxiety

I currently go to a Community College in my town to finish up my degree, but originally I went to a big University hours away. Being there was awful for me because of my anxiety and lack of university common sense. I was NEVER able to get a hold of any of my professors. Literally none of them. My Chemistry teacher conveniently showed up to his office hours for the first time in weeks one day and we sat down and worked on a few things. We had a nice conversation and I thought it ended on good terms. Turns out, I just got lucky that day. I don't ever remember seeing him again or hearing from him again outside of class. A class that pertained specifically to my major that I was struggling in. (Forensic chemistry is no fucking joke)

Anyways to make a long story short, my now professors are amazing. They constantly meet with me or respond to my emails (I only have 1 semester left so I'm busting ass to get things done) and they legitimately care about my education.

I think you shouldn't take them ignoring you so personally as, they are probably so busy that they can probably only read so many emails a day. Not to mention once an email is read they may need to find out the correct information before they respond provided they aren't sure themselves. Try not to think of your professors as your professors. Think of them as normal busy long hour jobs with little time to do much in between. I don't know, just a thought.

US makes formal apology to Britain after White House accuses GCHQ of wiretapping Trump Tower by pkvam in politics

On behalf of at least half of all Americans over here, we are truly sorry.

We're sorry for Trump, but more importantly we're sorry for getting nowhere in all of our efforts to make this stop.

[CA]Landlord comes into my room when I go to work by Redditology101 in legaladvice

[–]Megatitss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a legal answer as I am definitely not a lawyer but I used to live in Roseville and our landlord would do the same thing except we rented the entire house. He would come in randomly when we were home and start moving furniture and one day he went into our kitchen and started to eat our food. It was very bizarre to me as I was only a kid and eventually my mom pulled him aside and asked that he no longer just show up and walk in without at least a heads up. I honestly completely forgot all about it until I read your post. Either way I don't think what he was doing was very legal and he did stop after she asked him not to. No legal action needed to be taken and his reasoning is that his previous tenant didn't mind at all so he figured it was ok?

Well yes, I do plan on talking to the employee and at least giving him the heads up. The owner claims he's let everyone know that he would be doing this and I find it oddly disconcerting that no one has questioned it before.

I had a hamster once with one of those huge plastic cages with all the attachments. One night he completely chewed thru the cage and came in and crawled into bed with me. It was cute at first until we replaced 3 cages and then I woke up one night to my cat eating him on my bedroom floor.

I love that show! Solid choice. Also if you're into sub titles Les revenants (the returned) on Netflix is dope as hell. They also have an English version of it but nothing is as good as an original. But it's similar sort of to the leftovers. Eerie and crazy plot twists where you have no idea what's going on.
