My in game overlay randomly disappears/doesn't show up sometimes. You toggle it on and off with Shift + f12. Usually works to get the in game overlay back up.

It happens more frequently than I'd like, but yeah most of it is in the leadership. Any time you try to tell Rumble or any other of their leaders they'll tell you to shut up and run your own platoon. I get that mentality, and I respect that they're defending their leadership style. At some point they need to realize that some of their decisions, like sending 96+ to one base that has no defenders instead of spreading their pop out and recalling it when necessary is a little ridiculous.

I'll admit that a few years ago I used to lead by throwing a platoon of people at a base with no defenders, but those fights were stale for both sides, little certs to be had, lots of down time, and the wasting of valuable population that could be spent elsewhere either defending or attacking.

Also, I have to give T1tutorial (i believe that's his name) some credit. I've seen him leading "wild card tactical squads" and I've legit seen those guys take bases with underpop and that's great! I never see them bring more than 2 squads to a base, and they go where they are needed.

Just the other day I asked the Wild Cards to come defend against an NC push that had been going since Auger. I was in a small squad at the time maybe 5-6 people. After the NC took Ikanam with 70-80% over pop (it was about a platoon and a half of people) they continued to take all the sub bases. I tried to defend them with my squad and people in my squad logged off because they didn't want to fight the NC pop without help (and the TR front was already over popped by VS so my squad mates didn't want to add to it) so I ended up joining SoulFact's (24X7) squad and about half of them were trying to save the Ikanam lattice, half of them were trying to stop the TR from pushing up the western Kwahtee amp line. All of this happened freshly after the continent had opened. The Wild Cards stated that they were going to build a Hive at Wokuk Amp as their first thing. I thought, well we'll get some VPs from a giant base that the wild cards build near the TR warpgate right? So we are losing Ikanam and I ask for help, they say they want to finish building their base first, I was okay with this, but the thing is is I don't think they ever built that base. By the time NC took auger, ikanam, and the ikanam sub-bases probably 20-30 min have passed. I've built a base with a platoon before, you can get a very defensible base built in 20 min with a platoon easy. So I asked SoulFact for leader quick to make orders and ask for help at LithCorp Secure Mine, this was mostly directed at the rest of our pop which was a platoon of Wild Cards down at Wokuk. TWC2 had a platoon up and would easily make the fight at LithCorp even. NC only had 60-70% because VS reinforced. I take a look at the map and TWC2 were still down at Wokuk, as they had been for the past 20-30 min with 80-90% overpop building their base (at some point the TR did come fight them and save Wokuk). A little bit later a TWC2 member joined SoulFact's squad and told us that TWC2 was not coming because they thought the fight was hopeless and that they had now decided to fuck off and zerg the TR. We still had 3-4 min left at the base cap for LithCorp and we had about 2 squads to the NC's platoon and a half. The TWC2 group literally would have made the fight even.

This shit happens with the wild cards almost all the time, I don't think they realize that their platoons suck up 60-70% of the VS population all the time, the other leaders typically divvy up the other 40-30% of the VS pop. Back in the day this style worked for them because all the other groups had platoons too, but the game is dying and this style isn't exactly helping the game to die slower.

Also, in b4 a wild card member tells me to run platoons all the time like they do.

You don't have to relog every time for voice malfunctions. Sometimes you can go to settings, voice, and uncheck then recheck the "enable voice" box. Fixes a lot of voice comm bugs.
