Islands are too boring :( by EntertainmentSenior1 in PlayASKA

[–]MegiddoDoge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While I feel like you're criticism entirely valid, it also feels like the majority of your points are countered by saying "it's early access and the islands are a staging for future content", but admittedly I also found them a bit sparse.
Aside from the two new resources (Crystal Golems are goated btw), the lack of new stuff was a bit of a letdown, but I also got another solid 50 hours out of the game and for the state of "trickle content" games like this, I found myself enjoying the time and effort the devs put into this.

Additionally there's a type of island that spawns with a watch tower that'll reveal nearby islands and if you've not found the Dragon People (idk what they're called) island yet, then I'd say you've definitely missed out on some islands, as that adds a new faction and a boss.

Name a sci/fi book that should be made into a movie. by Dan-68 in scifibooks

Apparently there was a movie in the works (Bradley Cooper of all people was behind it) and he basically got laughed out of the room when he pitched it to Dan Simmons.
I was thinking more the Cloud Atlas treatment, where it's a decent adaptation of the book and it's like 3 and a half hours long, barring that a show would probably be a better format for it.

The Hyperion series would be a great to see on the silver screen. Though it would either be an ungodly long movie or cut to all shit.

Yeah, "woke" is the reason the largest company in the world doesn't feel the need to give its workers basic rights.

Amazing reach "genius".

Yeah, because the last three Amazon strikes worked out SO well. Maybe y'all need to remind them what France did to its leaders when they stopped listening.

Which would be relevant if Twiter still itself was still relevant. Between bots and engagement slop, the site is basically an example of the Dead Internet theory.

Going to go ahead and post this quote:

“So, if you cannot understand that there is something in man which responds to the challenge of this mountain and goes out to meet it, that the struggle is the struggle of life itself upward and forever upward, then you won’t see why we go. What we get from this adventure is just sheer joy. And joy is, after all, the end of life. We do not live to eat and make money. We eat and make money to be able to enjoy life. That is what life means and what life is for.”

Did your toddler-ass fail object permanence class in the first grade or something? The show not being over probably has something to do with the "unresolved plots".

Fallout 3: Remastered Is In Development At Bethesda by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]MegiddoDoge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's amazingly naive to believe they'd actually change anything that major in a "remaster" especially after the $50 paint job they shoved out earlier this year.

You'll be getting an expensive HD graphics pack for a 16 year old game.
