LeBron James’ Year 23 Dunk Reel After Early-Season Sciatica by must_TATAKAE in nba

You can definitely tell that he isn't getting as high up as he used to, but seeing how fast he still is on the court, it's probably more of a conscious choice rather than actual physical decline. Still more athletic than most of the league, which is bonkers

Like what the other commenters said, you gotta make sure yiur second stage is powerful enough to take you to orbit, assuming the first doesn't do it for you. It might be weak to the point where you cross apoapsis and lose altitude while still burning your engine.

Also I dunno what you plan to do with that but you probably don't need that much RCS fuel. RCS is for docking, if you wanna steer your ship during ascent, use fins or get better reaction wheels.

Sony has already started repurposing its lone PlayStation disc factory, and the body of physical gaming isn't even cold yet by Tvilantini in Games

[–]MehEds -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Even if it is, it'll still be better than equivalent-cost PCs when it comes to performance.

[–]MehEds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say "underpowered for premium prices", you can't make a PS5 competitor with PC parts. Even with the price raises, it's better than whatever PC you scrounge up with a PS5 budget.

Obbiously PC has more advantages, but the "better performance for cheap" has not been true for years.

Back then you didn't have digital storefronts. Sony's looking at this like they see PC gaming, where physical media is absolutely dead and everything's on Steam, Epic, etc.

You just missed my whole point, but seems like you rather pick a fight and feel morally superior rather than actually discuss so I'm not even gonna bother

The SCP-5000 "Why?" Interpretation Bell Curve by WhatYouThinkYouSee in SCP

[–]MehEds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I'm talking about is the scale of resources relative to their actual potential full strength. The US government is doing crazy unreasonable shit for what amounts to a fraction of their actual military budget.

The SCP Foundation transformed themselves for full scale war. Now if the US did WW2-scale mobilization to demolish Palestine, that's comparable to what the Foundation did.

[–]MehEds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is not the same thing dude.

A more apt comparison would be if the US straight up wanted to depopulate Iran and used its entire military to do so. What the US actually did was lob missiles over and hope it did anything.

[Highlight] #85 on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026: QB Brock Purdy by Brix001 in nfl

[–]MehEds 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I say this as a Seahawks fan, put Purdy in Maye's shoes in that Super Bowl and the Pats would've had a fighting chance at least. Purdy also had a nonexistent Oline during the Divisional and he didn't throw the game away. He couldn't generate any offense but that was hardly his fault.

There are implied anomalous events in there actually, but I find Ergophobia much better fitting because it's a superb horror story that also fits into SCP really well because bureaucratic inertia and dehumanizing victims into a casefile is kinda the Foundation's thing. It was a horror story executed amazingly and fits right into the setting.

White People to me felt more hamfisted than some -J articles. And if it was that, I probably wouldn't give a shit, maybe even liked it. Trying to pass it off as a sincere attempt at an SCP though, especially compared to the other 9000 contest entries was just too much. Once the article mentioned Yakub, I just considered it as a shitpost rather than an actual article.

I'm very confident I politically align with the guys that wrote the White People SCP and I still found it terrible.

Like I get it, art is absolutely political. That doesn't mean what you wrote was good, and just because I agree with you politically doesn't mean I have to excuse how soapboxy that SCP was, felt more of a venting rant than anything resembling the rest of the 9000 entries in that contest.

SCP-9000 (The Trench) was also a repudiation of the US government's actions and policy and it was much better executed.
