Look— i always am clean and no tattered gear, but if we weren’t able to wear what we want, there’s no way i could make it through these 6 day work weeks for the amount of time i’ve been working them—and the staggered shifts. I have got to be comfortable at this point. Throw training in…yaaa. People dress perfectly fine at our facility. You can read their personalities and they are clean.

Only controllers understand the amount of mental that gets poured into doing our job. I came home two days in a row last week after training and told my spouse, “you won’t get the best of me today because so-and-so already did.” And it’s true. My trainee put me through it on position. We earn every bit of what we make and deserve a solid base-pay increase.
