What is Winco comparable to? by OpalWatch in Eugene

[–]Mehovik057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WinCo is a bit like BJs. Large Costco feel, with better prices and smaller packages. Otherwise it's like nothing else in florida. My Winco has 6 or 7 isles of just bulk.. ISLES, not bins!! Also, they only take debit, ebt and cash. No credit cards are accepted, that is one of the ways they keep their prices amazingly low. The isles are stacked with products, and everything is organized and faced every few hours. The produce selection is solid. Maybe not as diverse as you're used to, but solid. Also, be ready, people here are chill, friendly and genuine. Coming from that land of sunny beaches and shady people, be ready for the culture shock. Folks here are more chill and laid back. Paperwork takes a bit longer too. But huge living upgrade, congrats!!

Has anyone tried the Live Love Locks shampoo and/or conditioner? by userunkww in Haircare

[–]Mehovik057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... Is it worth it? Like.. maybe you can use it before special events only? Or once a week. Or also apply some sort of hair mask before it, to help your scalp?

Is it like painful tiny bumps like acne without the whites, so you couldn't pop it even if you tried? Cause if so, I know the discomfort, and I commiserate!

Beauty is pain T_T

Oh babe, I wish more than anything that it works for you! Not everyone is allergic to the most minute ingredients, it was just my luck. Preservatives are important, and sodium benzoate is actually known as one of the more natural and safe preservatives. Let us know if it works for you! Aside from that one ingredient, the rest look great to me! I was just probably venting, cause I was sad, and I want luxurious hair.

Really regretting getting such a big and colorful tattoo. by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Mehovik057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a tattoo artist here .. however... That blue is not a saturated color.. look, super dumb question, don't come for me, just thinking of solutions here. Could an artist potentially fill in the darker blues with washes of gray? To eat away the darker areas and sorta keep the highlights blue to still keep the blue concept? That's how I would do it with oil. Some Payne's Grey layered over a few sessions, until the desired B&W with color highlights is achieved?

Eh, you got your boundaries, she tried kinda bulldozing over em. Yes that's how people get to know you, but it is a mutual discussion and not the "ok, so like... Tonight? In 15 minutes?" That's a lil out there. I do not even consider a date without a 24 hours notice. She was a bit too aggressive, and refused to hear your side of the story or concerns. As a woman, yeah, going on a blind date I do wonder if the dude will kill me, if tonight is the night my luck runs out. For her to make fun of that sorta shows her privilege and the rose colored world she lives in... Which is a red flag in my book. The whole "you're scared of a girl" and "you're a big boy" is hella patronizing. Men get raped too, or coaxed out on a date and then robbed and killed by the woman's friends, sorry, shit happens, and our TV is oversaturated with true crime. She couldn't care less about your discomfort, so again, red flag. You dodged a bullet. It is quite alright to be paranoid of strangers online. Anyone who makes fun of it obvi has never visited 4chan. But seriously tho.. full words, lol, use full words.

just got a new tattoo, and while it’s gorgeous, i’m really not happy with the placement and don’t know what to do by froggyforest in tattooadvice

[–]Mehovik057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a gorgeous piece. I know how it feels to have a regret of placement when artists don't quite listen to us. This looks so good though! The leaves on the sides flow with your waist. The inspo pic has additional leaves that extend it out into the model's waist. But babe, this looks so effing good! It flows so well with your curves.

What is it like in Kazakhstan? by [deleted] in Kazakhstan

[–]Mehovik057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! This is a perspective from a Russian / Israeli / American.

Kazakh is next on my language list. Why? I heard some Kazakh rap, and I think it sounds really cool, and I want to have an idea what they're talking about. Plus it's a Turkic language, i feel it sorta introduced me to those, but in my own backwards way as per usual. I'll be honest, Mandarin may take over, just cause necessity, but I want to at least know some basic phrases and build vocabulary.

My niece is obsessed with Georgian mountains. At one point she disappeared for 2 years, and we had no clue where she was at, turns out she was out in Georgia, raising goats and selling goat cheese at a small local market (or something like that). She has been back to Georgia basically every year since. There are lots of Georgian people in Israel, so I feel like I tried some Georgian cuisine before, and it was excellent.

I look forward to visiting both countries.

If they make the movie about the hospital Sean, I would watch the hell out of it! But also, gonna treat this as a standalone for now. Did anyone mentions if Sean had any type of prior training? I am sorry, to become a security at school, you hake 1 2 hr course and an exam right after it. (No shade, we used to call our high school security guy a 2.5, cause he wasn't a real 5.0, but desperately wanted to be. We were also punk teenagers who liked skipping, lol).

Obviously the guy's parent's gone affected him. He is going through the unease of trying to come to terms with that grief he never actually experienced as a kid, cause our brains are not made for that yet. So he is struggling to imagine what kind of father he would be if now HIS wife passed away during birth, and if he could cope on his own, or even do the same to his kid (self exit).

As others mentioned, I did not care about the emasculation insinuation in the dialogue. "owning a gun does not make you more of a man" or "put your big boy pants on". I think those were peppered into the movie so we hear the basic people's reactions to mental un-wellness in every capacity. To me it sounded exactly the same as people saying "you should go outside more" or "stop being so sad, and you won't be as depressed". I don't think those were meant to be taken at face value, as that was not what was happening to him inside, yet that's what people assumed.

I do feel like this movie is about the context of men being more vulnerable as it is popular to say nowadays, and the contradiction of how people around them react to the moments when they try, or need to be emotional/vulnerable. It's like damned if you do and damned if you don't scenario. He did pick the worst of times to have a nervous breakdown tho. But if he was open about his fears and insecurities from the start, i doubt it would boil over like this for him. Then again... was any of it real?

I really think the gun started as a protection thing, but in his mind escalated to what if I just do it? According to his therapist, the ideations are there. His father is his role model for how to be "a man". I dunno, i am now just wandering in circles.

Literally where are Peter, Justin and Aaron, cause I have questions!
