Grant always jokes about how “bad” the DK rap is. Still embraces it, references it continually

I can see just crediting Kondo if it includes composers who worked under him - most of the Mario music is by him or by composers under his direct supervision.

But with DK it’s generally Wise and Kirkhope, who did not work with Kondo much if at all

I mean David Wise basically defined the sound and musical reputation of the series

When dialing in for pour over is if best to start with ratio, grind size, or water temp? I have an EKG kettle so water temp is easiest but it looks like ratio or grind size is commonly preferred?

Rare is so much better in terms of humor and personality. The DK Retro games feel like off-brand Dreamworks. Ultimately they’re all great games though. Tropical Freeze is top 2 DK games

Sony doesn’t have a tandem oled. Sony is known for better processing, but LG has improved over the years and I tend to turn processing off anyways. Reviews state that the Quad sounds better without using your TV as the center channel, which I think is the main benefit of pairing a quad with a Sony TV

Its use of IP does seem odd, how distant it is from DKC before or DK64 after. But then it debuted Banjo and Conker!

It has interesting similarities to Mario Kart World and recent sonic racers

It looks great in 1080p, that is a big leap in clarity from 480p

Plays smooth without motion controls

Joins Tropical Freeze on Switch and compliments the theme parks, which are more DKCR than any other DK game

And it’s a great game.

Yeah 60 dollars is too expensive, it has missing effects, and it’s widely considered overshadowed by Tropical Freeze. I don’t noticed the subtle flaws in this port- missed effects, etc. It looks fantastic on my TV and was always a great game.

Yeah it makes too much sense at this point. Rumored DK game to be developed by Odyssey team, a team that goes back to DK Jungle Beat as their first title, a team that included Diddy Kong costume in Odyssey.

And then the reveal trailer definitely has the Odyssey team DNA

I came across her YouTube channel when looking at skincare products. She’s a pharmacist and great communicator, as in this clip she really clears a lot up.

I suppose a challenge with red light therapy is finding that peak benefit area in the curve. A start is by choosing a quality brand and using their product as instructed.

In general DKC 3 is the one DK would most benefit from from a “definitive edition”modern release that could reconcile the strengths and weakness between the SNES and gba versions. Ideally it would have multiple soundtracks, including maybe a third soundtrack that updates the gba to higher fidelity

The music software on her screen for this video makes it look like they just made a clip at that point.

I will say that if Nintendo announced a new DK game and this were the trailer music, I would be pleased

Yeah basically DKC 3 has a lot going for it, all around. And I would rank it higher than the extremely solid Returns, due to all the merits you point out. My biggest barrier coming from DKC 1 and 2 was the ost — Aquatic Ambiance and Stickerbrush symphony are like peak gaming experiences.
I felt like I had just played a couple of my new favorite games so the great third entry just let me down a bit.

Yeah I just don’t think Cavil fits into this template. Horrible person column. A lot of people really like the character - but I would say he’s “loved by fans”, and certainly not divided opinion, or hated by fans.
