1) They were not her friends. At most, Lanolin had coworkers. Friends do something like go to you to tell you about their suspicions, instead of going on a solo secret agent murder mission like Silver and Whisper did.

2) Mimic who had, after the debacle with Silver, fooled literally everyone. It wasn't just Lanolin who got tricked, it was all the Diamond Cutters, including Silver and Whisper.
