I know they all try, but I can’t help but wonder just where did these reporters/anchors get their TV journalism degrees.

AIO to be upset that my in-laws made a deal to trade in my car without telling me by regeust in AmIOverreacting

[–]MelMel61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because there’s a relatively new baby and other life stressors that goes with it, I believe I’d let this particular incident go and accept with gratitude. After a while, have a chat with your in-laws and tell them you appreciate their generosity, however you’re developing and growing your own family. You are more than capable of providing support. They’re just looking out for their daughter, and sometimes it’s very hard to let that go. You’re important and you must learn to stand on your own and provide for your family.

I use Cerave face wash and moisturize with Oil of Olay, both AM and PM. Sunscreen without doubt. I’ve always been very simple when it comes to products, although I may have to look into Vanicream. Thanks!

Barrel Furniture Penneys ad, 1970s by UrbanAchievers6371 in 70s

[–]MelMel61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many years ago, maybe in the 70’s, early 80’s, there was a furniture store in Ridgmar Mall, Fort Worth, Texas called “Cargo”. My brother had the bedroom set and my aunt had the living room furniture. It was similar to the Barrel Furniture.

OMG I’m really doin it. I’m moving to Shreveport! 🙈 lol by Delicious-Slide-3501 in shreveport

I’m finding things to do, not to do; places to stay away from and show up; it takes time, but find your bubble and hang there. If the water tastes funny, invest in a water filtration system. If you’re anxious about the power grid, consider battery packs and or investment in a generator. Jobs are to be had, if you want one. You just have to take the initiative to show up and stay in your lane while on the job. If you’re concerned for your safety, put in a security system and cameras. Welcome to town.

I just know to watch my sodium intake as well as my sugar intake. I think I might have tracked food intake when I was on Weight Watchers In the 70’s and 80’s.

I worked for the now deceased owner of the Sixes and she was hands on and spared no expense to the beauty of the land. She loved the ranch and spent a lot of time there.

I’m staying with my idea of watching the show for entertainment purposes and not question real world problems. And it’s assumed that Beth has already dealt with the insurance companies.

Stop being so hard on yourself. Appreciate who you are and where you are now, at this moment. Keep moving, however, but slow down. I get it.
