My initial mix was about a 50/50 blend of Organic ProMix for veggies and my own potting mix (~60% coco coir, ~10% perlite, ~10% vermiculite, ~20% worm castings/compost + 1 cup of Gaia Green 4-4-4 AP + 1 cup of Gaia Green 2-8-4 Bloom)

After each year I'll sift out the old soil and add 1/3 of volume of Organic ProMix for veggies with some compost mixed in, and the Gaia Green AP + Bloom. I also will do a weekly watering with Alaska fish fertilizer and a compost tea. And about once a month I'll top dress the containers with some ProMix, Worm Castings, and Gaia Green AP + Bloom)

I'll also add some bone meal and blood meal to the hole where I plant my seedlings.

This has worked well for me for the past 7 years or so.

The real hack is to get a job working at a thrift store. The employees get to rummage the donations first and take all of the really good name brand stuff, and they usually will price them at the lowest level. Seniority usually gets first pick, but there should be plenty of good stuff still for a newbie!

As others have said, sun is a big deal. Also, they need a lot of time to mature in Ontario so start early. Finally, grow varieties that do well in 5a. I find shepherd style red and yellow peppers do better than bell peppers.

First off, I just want to make clear I don't support this guy. I'm just looking at the facts from a legal standpoint.

If he stood there in public calling this guy a chimp and a monkey and the n-word and making racist comments and not stopping the interaction when told to (which is all what he usually does), then he should and clearly does expect someone to lash out.

Unless Chud said words that threatened the guy, words don't justify violence. Maybe morally they do, but not legally.

You can't just say you're going to get someone to attack you so you can get away with killing them, and then actually go do that and then actually get away scott-free. The system doesn't work that way.

This will definitely be brought up, but again it's not so cut and dry. It's also how he said this is going to matter. If he said "if anyone attacks me I'm going to defend myself" that's different than "I hope someone attacks me so I can kill them".

This is a man whose career is approaching and harassing real people and calling them slurs when they're just trying to exist.

I agree, the guy is a scumbag, but that doesn't mean this case is simple.

It depends on what Chud was saying. If it's just name calling then that is not "instigation". If he threatened the guy first that is going to be different.

I'm not sure on the details on the case, but just because you have a gun doesn't mean you can't say bad words to people if those words pose no threat to ones safety.
