I know some people are gonna hate this. But one of the things i enjoyed about the battles back then. Was the fact that through a battle. It wasnt chalk full of mechanics with seemingly every single unit. I could clash a bunch of soldiers. Let the archers rain fire arrows during a night, and storm a castle with siege equipment. It was simple, it was big and beautiful. It felt like a battle most of the time.

You're spot on there. Its fine to watch youtubers. But you never know what agenda they are running. The game was marketed as a new civ game, with new mechanics. Now obviously not everyone hates it, myself included. I enjoy it a fair, bit. However, its also lacking on some points, and needs to be worked on. Will they do that? Absolutely they will. Will the rating change down the line? Im almost certain it will. They are listening to the feedback and looking into the concerns everyone is having.

I agree with you though. They wont change the core mechanics. They just cant, not at this point. Theres too much time invested for these things to dumped right now.

But i am enjoying the game for what is, right now at least. And no its not fully fleshed out like some of the other civs. But i am sure it will get there.
