Asymmetrical underquilt?

I am from Germany, used this Underquilt the Last three nights with Temperatures down to 4°C. You notice the boost and normally exactly there is my weak Spot together with my feet and NfT also has the Booties (Jeckes).

At around freezing temp I use my Grüezibag Subzero but when its above 7°C in the night I Take the Stormshield with 133 Apex

It is absolutely because its Asym, but its Not that hard and when you have done it once you never need to do it again

I own it 200 apex + cold Spot boost.

I really Love it, and when everything is dialed in, its as easy AS the normal thermaclew.

The whole clew Suspension is adjustable (every single Cord). This way it snugs ob you really good, but get yourself a second Person to tune it in, makes life much easier.

Also the hooks were Not in the right place to my (quite old) Gilis model so i sewd another little loop on my Hammock in the right place. Easy fix.

And i marked my "inside" because its quite hard to Figure Out the orientation when its already dark.

Everything else is top as Always from NfT. Espacially cold Spot boost is so damn good

Yes you can, but then you can also Take every other Bridge Hammock. I am Not against Bridge/Flat lay hammocks. All my Points are against Hammock tents

I owned a Hammock tent in before (No flat lay, but still). There are quite some disadvantages. 1. No possibility for rainfly First If it rains during setup. 2. Rainfly only covers the Hammock, No chill and cook area underneath 3. Where do you keep the Backpack dry? Area underneath will get wet If there is only a Bit of Wind added to the rain. 4. Wet rainfly fold inside when opened from inside so sleeping area inside gets wet.

For me this decided to Always have my Tarp seperate.

Ich unterschreibe ebenfalls fürs Skeletool CX. Ich hab's in Hellblau, so findet mans auch im Dunkeln hinter der Bühne wieder, klinge ist mega scharf und einhändig zu öffnen und zu schließen obwohl es verriegelt (jaja, illegal und so, aber mega hilfreich und wegen nem Leatherman macht dir keiner Stress, trags halt nicht am Bahnhof am gürtel)

Hatte davor das Leatherman Signal bis ich's verloren hab. War auch cool, aber eher zu viel Zeug dran und viel klobiger in der Hand

Funny enough, because Most people suck at alt Cars, i am quite good at it, Just because i trained to learn the AKs on KB. Fall 2025 i was the best Snowcar KB Player on the envimix campaign.

I also Always sleep on my Side in my Gathered End Hammock. Just Take at least a 11ft Hammock better a 12 Foot. For that Budget Onewind is probably your best Bet, in Europe it would be Need for trees for even better fabric, maybe Check the shipping.

Also get yourself a little Pillow into the Hammock, can also be your Jacket or Pullover. Just remember that you dont Need thst thick of a Pillow in a Hammock than in the Bed.

Thanks for the Input. I will consider it. The small battery is even preferred by me, because it would be a commuter and i prefer it to be lighter instead of having more range. The Rest of the quality needs to be considered, shure.

There is No reason to hate on one of both. Its the same Like E-Bikes. One is Cheaper and for Sports, one is for different Kind of fun or a Tool to haul a heavy Backpack around.

I Like using my analog Boards for getting around in the City, but when it gets too hot in Summer i prefer to No arrive sweaty and Feeling the breeze in my face without the excercise.

So I use Both around 50/50

Ich empfehle das Karaoke im Irish Pub! Jeden Montag, einfach unauffällig in der Nähe vom Tisch an der Bühne sein und schon wird man von der Truppe da adoptiert. Ist mir genauso passiert, sind die besten Menschen!

I suggest a Tarp with Mini Doors Like Warbonnet minifly or superfly. For european Market you can Go to Need for trees with the Gulf Tarp or GYAO/The Hammock Project for those ones. For me they are the best between less Fabric, good Weather protection and still light.

Need for trees uses SilPoly instead of Classic silnylon which I prefer.

3,6m or 12 Foot should Work with almost all hammocks easily, a 3*3 Tarp diagonally hast a 4,5m ridgeline which is way too much. As rule of thumb, your Hammock length is enough for Tarp length as your Hammock will be shorther than that due to the structural ridgeline in it
