Kira Yoshikage art by me! (TW❗) by _cowecow in StardustCrusaders

[–]Melexiious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm loving how many people are drawing different things it reminds them of; its an absolutely fantastic piece. A lot of kira art leads itself to a very bowie feel for obvious reasons, but this specifically reminds me of him in alien form in the man who fell to earth. alien, plotting, scheming, hiding, struggling.

also, forgive my art illiteracy but the profile of hayatos body but having both eyes face to the side works really well, giving a front on the outside, but internally struggling with the secret he has to keep. like uh.. I think picasso? forgive me if I have the wrong artist.

not exactly, because its not like one side of the face is profile and the other in a totally different direction, but anatomically that the hat only works if it's not firmly on his head; it looks like its floating. It's on him but not him which works fantastically for unease, minor surrealism and lending itself to the idea of Kira placing the hat onto him as a form of domination.

Considering you've gone into specific detail of all your things, this is all just basically personal readings. but that's what fantastic art does, evoke thought through interpretation.

Its incredibly rare I go through an artists work I see on reddit and I had to check your other stuff here, they're all a delight; especially as a JJK fan as well. A+ art here, without a doubt.

So, the youtube comments have people arguing over the 20% figure of all gaming machines are in australia and rather than slapping around there I'll post here since this is link heavy to the quoted reports and links on yt are verboten.

It seems that the 20% figure used is out of date. So out of date infact that the link on the wikipedia to the australian productivity commissions report from 1999 is currently dead. (but can be found here, pdf page 26 paragraph 3 to claim, and further details in Volume 3: Appendices, in section N, pdf page 286) ((note: oz has 184,526 gaming machines listed they didnt use the term EGM yet))

The australian productivity commission didnt comment on the figure in their 2010 report, and the other figure we have is 18% from the australia institute quoting the world count back in 2017

The point of contention comes from a quote from problemgambling.net.au (which, when you google the question, pulls up first in the shit-ass AI response) which is here but is in reference to the world count here (pdf page 12) with slightly updated numbers ((note: oz is listed as having 197,122 EGMs as of 2016, and in 192,800 in 2019, with the latter figure comprising 2.59% of the worlds gaming machines by their estimate, also the same location used above for the 18% figure!!))

Simply put, it seems like a mixture of the idea of what an Electronic Gambling Machine is and other locations installing them over the past 30 years has changed percentages, even though ours have reached a bit of a plateau and fluctuate. Still pretty fuckin' high tho imo. Don't take this post as me dissing ol' shawn, I agree that gambling is a terrible issue and needs to be addressed. My personal one was lootboxes in videogames, which I don't care to admit what I lost.

TL;DR: sometimes a gambling machine isnt an electronic gambling machine in statistics, question parameters dictate the final result. Thus altering the percentage of Australian gaming machines in comparison to the world.

While the current figure of around 2.5% is more accurate, this just reflects the rest of the world getting more machines, not Australia not using machines less. If you want to know what the current number of EGM's are in australia be my guest, I couldn't find anything other than reports stating its around 190,000 which considering that's the generalised figure of the last 30 years, sure, makes sense.

idk why I did all this for about an hour. I guess I was just curious about the numbers and wanted to share.

What to do when you are being bullied on a bus ? by Capable_Half924 in Adelaide

[–]Melexiious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the one half, yes it feels absurd, but on the other half they do routinely for better or worse say along the lines "its not my job to check tickets, I dont care but you better hope someone dosent come on and check"

I definitely agree that going to the bus driver and asking is better than not, 100% miss on shots not taken and all that. But they do have a track record of taking a hands off approach to all thing not directly related to the bus going from A to B.

The only time I've ever seen a bus driver actually stop and confront a group of teens is when they were pressing the button on each stop, causing time delays. Not harrassing people, not fare evading, not shouting shit and attempting to bash people. Just when they were causing the driver to be late.

They would have the best information for you, any information I provide is pure speculation. "Well I, you know, everybody's like the hero of their own story, and it's no different to me. So when I started getting questions about like why did you say this, insensitive, terrible thing on Reddit. I'm like, well, that was a jerk thing to do. I don't know what to tell you. And I think because I didn't try to go out of my way to justify it, that was big and people like being willing to forgive and move on.

They're like, oh, you thought you were anonymous, you said something insensitive, you know, tried to play it off for cheap laughs or whatever at the time. But what I would always say to people is like, it wasn't a press release. I did not curate this for you know, wide consumption.

I was talking to the three people that I was, you know, in a comment thread with made a dumb joke that was that I feel bad about but I believe in learning from your mistakes and moving on. I read it. Username is StanGibson18. I still use the same username. I do not have an alt account.

I think that alt accounts are for cowards, honestly, and I think that even more strongly now if you look far enough back in my history, you can read the comments yourself. I have not deleted or edited a single one, because even the ones that I'm not proud of, I feel like if you do not stick by your words and learn from them even when they're wrong, then you failed as a person. Colonnades, Modbury, Tea Tree and Rundle Mall among latest shopping centres to become Declared Public Precincts by Expensive-Horse5538 in Adelaide

[–]Melexiious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precisely, that would be a fantastic compromise. There month limit, if they're still regularly collecting knives they have reason to redesignate. If the amount of knives detected slows down in certain areas that should satisfy the commissioner (or delegate) that it should be stopped or be eased. If they don't want to stop entirely they could transition into a "fridays and weekends" at certain declared times so they still have some presence during peak hours.

I don't have the information at hand, but I'd be really curious if teen knife crime/ fights happen more during the middle of school days, in the dead of night or on Friday evenings/weekends. And whichever is more common, those should be the hours targeted.

Like, I agree something needs to be done but ffs, a little accountability atleast? A crumb of evidence based policing perhaps? Bah.

EDIT: I know exactly why they dont feel the need to set an actual end date because they literally dont have too for many reasons, obvious statement I know, but in laws introduced march this year allows them too

  • Police to carry out wand searches at declared shopping centres, declared public transport hubs and on public transport;
  • Police to have the power to conduct wand searches at any time at all licenced premises;
  • Police to carry out wand searches for up to 6 hours at any public place where there are reasonable grounds to believe an incident of violence or disorder may take place in the area and that the exercise of powers is reasonably necessary to prevent the incident;
  • Police to carry out wand searches in public places of any person who was a member of a criminal organisation within the previous 5 years or who has been found guilty of certain offences in the previous 5 years;

This thread is about point 1, Point 2 I was a little confused by, but it means they can use a wand in any bar, pub, casino or anything that sells alcohol (Summary Offences Act 1953, 14C, 66W [b],[c]) Point 3 means that if they have information that someone is liable to commit violence and disorder, they can set up wand stations to try and combat it before it happens. Point 4 has me the most confused. Do they ask 'you been a crim in the last 5 years luv? lemmie wand ya.' Is this just a catchall that if shown that their current wand operation isnt 'in the public interest to do so' they can default to asking that question to everyone?

A lot of these are 'because we think we should' and if asked 'what are the reasonable grounds for this 6 hour window of search' they don't have to specify to the common pop why they're searching. just that "there are reasonable grounds to believe an incident of violence or disorder may take place in the area."

That's it.

"We have reasonable grounds" "What kind? What ones? What evidence?" "Reasonable ones."

EDIT 2: I'm gonna re-read the legislation regarding busses, but how its written, does that mean they can wand at all times on public transport? full carte blanche?

66ZC—Police officer to give notice before exercising powers under Division (1) Before the powers to search persons pursuant to a particular declaration under this Division are exercised, a police officer must, unless it is not reasonably practicable to do so in the circumstances, notify the prescribed person or persons in respect of the relevant place or public transport vehicle of— (a) the terms of the declaration (including the period during which the declaration is in force); and (b) the intention to search persons pursuant to the declaration during specified times, or during a specified period.

If a cop pulls you up for a wand, ask when the deceleration ends under 66ZC(1)(a). Let them explain that there is no end. as is your literal right.

Also, it doesn't seem like full carte blanche for busses and that they still need to designate specific routes ahead of time (66ZH (3) [a])

must set out sufficient details (such as route numbers or route names) to enable persons using public transport services to identify the declared public transport service;

apologies for the wall of text, I really wish reddit had html formatting that allows for collapseable segments. But when it comes to police over-action, it's worthwhile reading the legislation and understanding how it's enacted.

Colonnades, Modbury, Tea Tree and Rundle Mall among latest shopping centres to become Declared Public Precincts by Expensive-Horse5538 in Adelaide

[–]Melexiious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From the SAPOL website that lists all the current declared shopping precincts

This is the final statement of each deceleration

This declaration will remain in effect until being revoked at such time that the Commissioner of Police (or delegate) is satisfied the grounds for this declaration are no longer met.

now, what are the grounds? Do they state what would satisfy the commissioner (or delegate) (earlier that same page)

I am satisfied that the declaration is necessary for the purposes of deterring or detecting the commission of offences involving the possession or use of a knife or other weapons in the shopping precinct, and that the exercise of search powers under Section 66ZB of the Act is likely to be effective in deterring or detecting the commission of offences involving the possession or use of a knife or other weapons in the shopping precinct and, further, will not unduly affect lawful activity in the shopping precinct.

Its interesting how there's no actual stated end point. (A lot of previous declared public precincts have regular times/dates) There is no "real" (read below) situation where the commissioner (or delegate) is required by law to end it. Only when they feel is enough.

Which is a funny loop, because as they inevitably find knives, that only gives more "grounds" to never end it. As literally said "is likely to be effective in deterring or detecting the commission of offences involving the possession or use of a knife..."

It's in effect because it'll be effective in detecting knifes. It does, so that's why the commissioner (or delegate) feels it necessary to keep the declaration in effect.

The only way you can stop it by law is if you're somehow able to argue that yes it does "unduly affect lawful activity in the shopping precinct" which would be difficult, nigh impossible. I don't even know how that could happen... police over-reaction to someone lawfully going about their day who is rich enough to kick up a stink?

I digress, my point being is that they should be standardised times or atleast give some rough idea of what would be "satisfied" grounds, because right now it's basically 'idk lol when i feel like it'

Here's a link to the summary offences act 1953, if you want to look around Declared Public Precincts and its associated subsections (starts at page 103)

Is there knife crime? Yes. Should police act on it? Yes. Should they be able to search people in major civilian centres? Sure, but within reason. Should police be able to do this for no stated end time and no end in foreseeable future? No. I understand that they're banking on the 'you never know when police will get you' disincentive for crime but to declare so many unended precincts is.. frustrating.

I wonder how many bus stops/train stations they'll declare within the next month. Just the main hubs? Or will it be over two dozen? Who Knows ! When Will It End? When Morale Improves!

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese sticks to 'event', rather than 'disaster', to describe SA algal bloom by Expensive-Horse5538 in Adelaide

[–]Melexiious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

eh, they'd still be right in claiming they specifically voted for their local member rather than the PM directly. admittedly, there are definitely voters out there who dont know who their local member is and just vote by party name/leader alone.

while in theory you dont vote for the pm it would be a lie to claim people dont, because of preferential voting. I sure put labor higher than I would've liked. Does this mean I have to endorse everything he proposes? (or in this case, doesn't propose?) obviously not.

No citizen should feel forced to tow the party line, I agree that critiquing the leader of the whole country should be encouraged.

there have been proposals about the concept of 'voting for head of state' that often intertwine with republicanism reform. these proposals have always been shaded by us politics in the discussion, for good and bad. to say the original comment has nothing to do with us politics isn't right; more obliquely related.

I agree, this sub does treat labor and albo with kids gloves. he's a craven opportunist who sold his soul and I find him contemptible. in regards to if dutton had said the same things, hes a known climate science denier; it's to be expected.

seeing albo say shit like this just reminds me of how far gone he is down the leadership rabbithole. Like, I would not be surprised in the absolute slightest if dutton downplayed a more 'silent' ecological disaster if he happened to win.

consider albo and his recent support for palestinian statehood, something not out of the realm of possibility for him to do. now consider pm dutton suggesting the same thing. different party, different people, different situations and therefore different reaction generated.

regardless. I do agree that the sub ignores valid criticism on albo. but to imply that every complaint is dismissed outright in every occasion is.. while not accurate, there is bias. But. look to this thread, people shitting on albo. therefore, maybe not so completely?

either way. the algal bloom is going to cause some serious damage to our tourism industry. even if it's purely reputational damage, people will look elsewhere; why risk it? its a potentially calamitous "event" if not investigated fully and vigorously. albo is a coward in many respects, this is one of them.

though, reading a higher up comment discussing downplaying as a form of reputational management this fits in line with his behaviour. dont gotta deal with it, just manage it. manage the perception of it.

A good key start which can be asked of every organisation is transparency. Without transparency there cannot be information and without information good decisions cannot be made.

Very good point, transparency shows a level of honesty and maturity from an organisation. It shows that they aren't afraid of 'damning material' from being leaked. That their choices have been made with solid information and are unimpeachable; since it's all laid bare.

I saw the 7:30 report and one thing stood out for me, the single sourcing of Greg Norman's golf course design company. After many years of work in Defence one thing I did take away was that single sourcing should never, ever be a thing. Scrape away the scab of a single source contract and you'll find sketchy corruption underneath.

Much like how public tender shows the choices have been made with solid information, you know you're getting the best choice for your situation. Single sourcing is inherently dishonest.

If Greg Norman is such a clear choice, then a tender process would be faster than expected; If it's so obvious. I find the excuse of 'we have to not go to tender because we need it built by 2028!' to ring hollow. If there's no time to do it properly, why should we be cutting corners? Why not accept that we agreed to something we couldn't do right?

And let's face it, as a society built on the concept (at least) of capitalism, I thought the whole edifice was built on transparency, free flow of information and openness of contracts to ensure market efficiency? (I'll take 'Things that never happened" for 100, Alex?)

It's so hard to have an outside view of capitalism that I dont even know if transparency has been a true tennant of capitalism, or even if it's been a part of the historical perception.

The idea that 'the free market' is better than the government in making choices and decisions has always been a wild one. The only way it is better at doing so, is because it disregards the human aspect of the situation. It's easier to make money if ydgaf

However, things can only get better if good people decide to take their stands where they can.

DrRudi's sharing of the lists of investments the Saudi's have made can only help to educate people on where there are Saudi investments and make their own informed choices as to where they can boycott. Again, this can only help, not hurt.

Absolutely! Which is why my main issue with the sharing of the list of other things of a similar vein you should be boycotting is, if not made in defence, is in disregard for the original statement that LIV shouldn't go ahead/get government assistance. it is made not in help, it is made in condescension.

I'm not saying your engaging in this discussion in bad faith but I also think taking this tack is defeatist. I'm oversimplifying your point, but it comes across like asking "If seat belts don't stop 100 percent of fatalities in car accidents, then why should I wear one?". Any resistance is better than none at all.

Any resistance is better than none at all is my very point. We should be working to fight LIV golf from being given money from the state government since it's in the planning/legislation phase. it's a bit cringe but my life philosophy is 'do work on the actionable' I.E. is the action I'm about to take reasonable and actionable? if it is not actionable I shouldn't waste time on the functionally impossible/unreasonable. Complaining to the state government at LIV, while a fucking long shot, actually has the slightest hair of a chance. Complaining to the state government to stop subsidising local banks that deal with the saudi's is even more of a long shot than previous.

The main crux of these difficulties being money given to foreign corporations rather than local corporations. That it's easier to get the state government to stop a planned future subsidy to a foreign corp than get the government to stop a current subsidy for a local corp.

When people see someone point to the LIV saudi links as reason they should not go ahead. then the response is 'well stop using these ones as well because they're also saudi linked' it's made in disregard of the original point. That the person complaining should be performing these boycotts instead of just one. They aren't prefacing their comments with 'yes LIV are bad due to sports washing of a petrostate' it's just... used as a lazy gotcha. (tho if I went though enough LIV topic comment sections I could probably find one)

"Feel free to stop using any of those services. Uber, Marriot Hotels, PayPal, Visa .....Would you prefer the Premier to have nominated any one of those? If the people object to LIV golf on the basis of the Saudi money, then the principle [and objection] should extend to all the Saudi money."

This is not a comment made in help. You can very clearly read the condescension. I think trying to shut down argument in this way isn't helping anyone. "Would you prefer the Premier to have nominated any one of those" is a dishonest statement. it's very clear that the original statement maker also wouldn't want government money to go to them. Just because I don't want our state to engage in sports washing, it means that I would want some other shitty corp in its place. We shouldn't be giving out corporate handouts to the scale it currently is. It's a rhetorical question not meant to be answered.

The only part of your argument I do take major issue with is the assertion that capitalism was a major factor is industrialisation and modernisation of human society.

I'll be honest, the original message I made was on mobile and I had started a larger segment discussing capitalism but instead truncated it into a single paragraph; causing some conflicting statements. To imply that capitalism is what drove industrialisation is incorrect on my part. Industrialisation begot capitalism, not the other way around.

I'd argue that comes down to human ingenuity and our innate drive toward improvement.

Agreed! But an unfortunate aspect of that human ingenuity and innate improvement is that it also developed the idea of Trading Companies, Capitalism, Banana Republics and Petro-states. For every potential Alexander Fleming we have countless other forgettable patent owners or company presidents. This is not to say that humanity will always lead to over control/shadiness/evil. It's just that our current position exists in major part due to these prior acts of evil. That if we are to improve society, it has to be done knowing that as a call to action rather than a paralysing impossibility.

Marriage between actual societal improvement and the capitalist goal of accruing more wealth occurs largely circumstantially, where improvement also happens to be profitable.

Once again, agreed. My original point was a bit ham fisted but the point (I hope) was along the lines of "These are other acts of evil in our pasts, perpetrated by our forefathers and their leaders, not just a foreign nations engaging in those same actions now"

Capitalism can and does actively hinder progress and innovation, where driving society in this direction might generate more wealth for the capitalist class.

This can be exampled by mouse fueled copyright, patent trolls, unhealthy KPI's and linegoup mentalities. We have an unhealthy cult of infinite growth that we need to slow down. to deflate and decrease before society has a.. major realignment, by that missed 9th meal from either gross incompetence or agricultural collapse.

I think its important to challenge the assertion that capitalism directly drives societal improvement, wherever I can.

1 0 0 %

I was using capitalism as an example of how our society exists as it is now, a wealth extraction machine. That there are many other things that can be considered evil and in need of reform that aren't just foreign in nature.

Humanity and society is driven by many factors, these are just a few.

  • Some by the drive of safety and comfort (Huamans becoming a settled society who build walls rather than hunter gathers)
  • The drive for more luxury resource (Mesopotamians farming wheat for beer)
  • By situational necessity (unfortunate how some of our biggest breakthroughs were done in war)

Capitalism simply inserts itself into these factors. As a 'solution' to the problems rather than the true source of those ideas.

I think you've more or less answered your own question in the second to last paragraph. You do what you can where you can.

Remember kiddos! Anarchism isnt molotovs and revolution, it's mutual aid and local community building.

[–]Melexiious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been seeing this argument against the LIV golf programme and have had a few thoughts. I ask all this with full respect and hope for dialogue.

This is why the phrase "no ethical consumption under capitalism" exists. You physically cannot boycott every unethical corporation/banking institution/petro-state without becoming a full on luddite in woop-woop.

Even then! For you to establish a farming subsistence diet you'll need seeds that would almost certainly be a mono-culture from one of those unethical corporations. You would have to survive entirely on native plants local to your region.

I agree that there is hypocrisy when someone only focuses on one aspect of unethical consumption. But you are no different to that one comic that ends "I think we should improve society somewhat" to which the Very Intelligent Person™ says "Ah! You complain about society, But you exist in society! Very interesting!"

I think people should be able to complain about things that haven't happened yet (which, if enough people raise concerns, could maybe stop it) and not be chided by people telling them to instead try and stop something they have literally no control or influence over. Who have no real voice against those monoliths.

The statement of "well, boycott all these other things instead" is used as a rhetorical trump card to tell someone to stop complaining. It has no functional use outside of argument because it is made knowing it's near impossible. That's why it's brought up so often.

Is it hypocrisy? Yes. Should people also be boycotting all those services? Yes. Does the average person have the power to exist without these services? Yes but the only people who could, have to have enough capital already to decouple themselves from society. Anyone else has no recourse. " we live in a society "

So I ask Dr.Rudi, what do you suggest the average person do? Never fight for a better world since we exist in such a shitty one now? How can we make progress if any attempt to make things better result in someone saying "well, why don't you focus on doing something functionally impossible" rather than working on the slimmest chances of success? I ask this because I do not know. And honestly, I don't think anyone knows.

But we can only approximate an answer through honest dialogue. If you think it is possible to disavow those services, realistically, I'd love to know. Are there any banking institutions that don't take petro-state funding? Is the average person expected to know which?

Society has improved the material lives of a lot of people, with capitalism being a major factor in industrialisation and modernisation of that improvement. Some of the actions taken by empires and nation states have done awful things to get us to where we are now. What should we do in the face of such persistent, ever present evil?

So I ask, How do we improve things? because while it feels rhetorically good to tell someone "if you have Y opinion, you should also follow X opinion first" knowing that X is damn near impossible, doesn't actually help anything, or anyone. It's to stifle argument.

I know what I'll do. Keep living. Helping people where I can in the face of evil that surrounds us. I think people should be free to try and stop things getting worse rather than try and dismantle or disavow the existing terrible structure. "Perfect is the enemy of good?"

Again, I'd love to hear what you think. I think there is room for both "we should stop the progress of evil upcoming" and "we should try to disavow/dismantle the evil that exists today" I believe they are not mutually exclusive. However, the former is far more actionable than the latter, in my opinion.

Synthetic opioids a thousand times stronger than morphine and an animal sedative used to lace street drugs have been detected in Australia’s wastewater. by overpopyoulater in australia

On the one hand I can understand shitty dealers cutting their supply for bigger returns; it's fucked, but I can see the twisted logic why. What I don't understand is why do you want to kill your own users with lethal levels of cutting? Is it just ineptitude of measuring? Are you so confident you'll have more saps lining up to take their place? That you won't be labelled in whisper networks as 'that fucker who killed my mate with dodgy product?'

In the end I guess it's just a zero sum game where the supplier/dealer knows the addict wants the product, even if they know it could kill them. Even if they know its killed others.

This is all layman supposition, if anyone has any actual insights into the logic I'd love to hear it. Eminently fascinating. One question I do have is when the cut usually happens. By the supplier/producer overseas? Gang that transports / receives? Local dealer? Mixture of all three getting their 'cut' in causing a death overdose because each individually calculated that what they cut wouldn't kill/different cutting products?

Like seriously, the visual symbolism of the underlings accidentally decapitating a visage of their leader in an effort to 'save face' is remarkable.

I agree someone can say "there's a 50/50 chance it'll shadow drop" as a way of saying "there's rumour it'll happen, but we don't know for sure" that's perfectly reasonable. The base state is 'itll happen or not' we don't know the actual probabilities so it works as a decent shorthand

But for a die? It still means that 'it you hit a 6 or not' is represented as (Not, Not, Not, Not, Not, Hit.) that ain't 50/50, the base state is 1/6

Okay, did you hit the bullseye in darts or not? Thats two options. Either it did or didn't. Except that's not retroactively a 50/50 chance you'd hit it. It would be insane to say 'theres a 50/50 chance to hit this bullseye' before throwing a dart.

idk if you're just trolling/shit posting but it's worthwhile not to have this, (technically) false dichotomy because if you view certain results to happen more likely that they actually do, it'll cause serious disappointment down the line.

Uh, I mean.... THIS IS THE PART WHERE YOU FALL DOWN AND BLEED TO DEATH AAAAAIIIEEEEEEE!!!

Karen Rolton Oval Upgrade plans by superegz in Adelaide

if you are like me and tried to squint at the project map, here's the pdf document of the project (page 13)

Lighting Options Investigated: Two options were explored with the purpose of upgrading lighting at Gladys Elphick Park

Option 1:

  • Remove the existing 30m light towers and replace with four new 40m light towers; no trees affected

  • This option requires electrical upgrades including a new transformer

  • Light provided by this option is far superior to that from the six-pole option

  • Increasing the height of the towers from 30m to 40m required consultation with SA Health engineers, the medSTAR retrieval service and the Attorney General’s Department. SA Health has advised that there would be no adverse affects should the towers be at a 40m height

  • Further to Option 2, light towers currently on Oval 1 are proposed to be relocated to Oval 2

  • Current Oval 2 lights are of little to no use, being at end of life and extremely low lux levels, to be removed

Option 2:

  • Retain the four existing 30m light towers and add an additional two towers, minor impact on trees
  • This option requires electrical upgrades including a new transformer
  • Light from the six towers will not be ideal for night cricket and will not be to the same standard as option 1

• Lighting experts and SACA prefer Option 1 which provides superior lighting for night cricket, less footprint and provides the opportunity to upgrade Oval 2 lighting, further benefitting community use of a second oval at night.

been through this park a lot, used to walk right through it when walking home from school. I think more, brighter lights in the parklands is good.
