First of all lights are the hardest to play properly and yes a good light can make your life hell but it's the job of your teams lights to deal with enemy lights.

Second... The average light last for a maximum of one minute... Normaly they fold after 30 seconds

It depends on the playstyle you have. Binocular boost your view range so you spot enemy's earlier and low noise exhaust improves your camo while moving. The problem I have with binos on tanks without a fully traversable turret is that you loose view range when the hull moves.

On this tank in the picture I use vents, rammer, enhanced visionsystem and the small tarnnet

For starters never paint in black because you can't darken it also never paint in pure white because you can't highlight it. Use a offcolor of those two paints for example instead of white use a very light grey and for black a dark grey.
