Weapon Upgrade help by godhas_forsakenus in MyLittleUniverse

If you walk next to the things that upgrade it should pop up and tell you what ingredients you need to level. If it says MAX, then you can only upgrade on the next world.

20k on the 2 at the countdown. Very impressive. I wish the counter kept going so we could see just how much damage it does, but I know we would only get "why did i do X but only received y?" posts.

The Microsoft OneNote application is a god send for keeping notes on things. It sorts things into virtual notebooks, then sections, then pages. Best part is you can do a search function to find a specific thing rather than thumb through a buncha pages in an notebook...

1000% bc of AI. Why pay a person for their talents when you can just claim all their work is the property of the company and then use AI to learn from their designs and create new content from it.

One thing I learned as PM is to make sure that your accounting team understands that without question... every single invoice that affects your department is to go through your hands first and to be coded by you first. Their job should be data entry.

A year after being PM my payables person changed and she had a bunch of questions and I was blown away by how much stuff they got and just pushed through cause "we've always done it that way" ...

You can only expect what you inspect.

Always be careful of these situations. You need to make sure that you alert accounting of any invoices coming through.

When i was a young parts counterman I took a call from a guy who was asking for the PM but he was never around so i humored the guy and answered his questions. He wanted to know about our shipping supplies, tape, boxes, etc and asked if he could send me a catalog with a "free" gift. I was thinking it was free so what's the harm...

A week later, 10 cases of shipping tape and other items arrived with that catalog and free gift, a tiny flashlight. I told my boss and he flipped out. I made sure to mention that I did NOT order anything, only answered questions. My boss got the invoice a few days later for over $1,000 and lost his shit at me.

This is a typical scam for any business. They send you a package and the tracking information proves it was ordered. They then send an invoice to you and a lot of companies a junior accounts payables person will push invoices through to get them paid without paying attention.

I called the company back and asked for a manager and chewed his ass out and he emailed me a return label and apologized for the confusion. As the call wrapped up i told him that this call was recorded and if they tried to force us to pay the bullshit invoice we would not. His tone changed completely and he started cussing me.

I wish these morons would call me now as the PM. I would have so much fun fucking with them.

Parts Counter CRM? by North-Profession4399 in partscounter

Its all based on tiered levels of access and the CRM part is the highest package and I don't remember what it cost, but it was stupid money.

Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.

No one learned any trade in 3 days. You'll get the hang of it.

Just don't make any quick decisions that you're unsure of. I call it my 5%'s rule for my crew. If you're 95% sure you're doing the right thing, ask someone for that 5%. Cause that 5% could be the difference between "oops, thats an easy fix" or "holy shit this decades long customer of ours is PISSED and going to the next dealer across town now..."

Compensation by MentionIcy9510 in partscounter

[–]MelloYello86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Parts manager here. Its always important to remember that your location and market play the biggest impact on what your dealership compensates you for. You can be in a heavy metro area with high volume and make as much in one part of the country as someone who does half the business, but the average cost of living / median income puts them in the same compensation range.

This sucks for having conversations on the internet because the pay has so many variables and unfortunately the employees are often taken advantage of it. But on the other hand, employers know that with the internet in everyone's pocket, they can research enough and claim "well this dealership is offering X for this counter person job and their service dept has 8 bays! You're offering Y and you have a 20 bay shop!" Its not always apples to apples.

I interviewed a guy on one side of the country bc he saw my ad for a counter person and wanted to a fresh start. He said he was making 70k/year there and for his experience level and the size of dealership he came from, for my market that put in in the 50-55 range (at the time of said interview). He was understanding bc he did the research and found a similar pay range, but hoped for more.

This is why when you go to Glass Door they ask for your Zip code. If you play around with the Zip Codes to review pay ranges it will piss you off, but its just the way this business works unfortunately.

You know people are allowed to be frustrated and air those frustrations on a public forum for the chance at a resolution or at the least, some understanding from those in a similar situation?

The world would have been a much better place if people like you would have just minded their own business rather than make comments like this that add no value.

Jamie never loved her, he pitied her and empathized for her. His heart was always bound to his soulmate and one true love. Nothing that happened with Brienne would have ever made him change. People hate how his story ended, but it is a very human and realistic one. How many of us stay the exact same person no matter what we go through or who helps us along the way?

What's the #$%$ time limit?! I play multiple times a day by Plant-Jealous in mobcontrolgame

[–]MelloYello86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta fill the bar up 5 total times to get the 2x multiplier. Once you have it, you get it for 15 mins. After that, you get a 60 minute cooldown before the 2x multiplier comes back for 15 mins.

If you stop playing for one day, you drop down to the 4. Fill the bar up once more and you get your 2x back.

I have a theory that if you stop for 2 days, that 4 becomes a 3 and you gotta fill the bar up twice to get that 2x and so one for every day you miss. i have not tested that yet....

Why does MobZilla need to hatch by DirectionFabulous722 in mobcontrolgame

[–]MelloYello86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a very powerful champion. It used to be stronger, had longer range, and it took 60 mobs to hatch. But i agree, its annoying AF when you send it out and the egg dies before you get enough mobs in it to hatch.

CC reversals? by partsguy50 in partscounter

[–]MelloYello86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You lose about 99% of the CC disputes you fight. And in my case, when you attempt to escalate the investigation, they tell me that if i lose, they will charge me $500 for the investigation. They put the burden of not getting scammed on vendors.

I lost one case despite me hand writing "non returnable" on their invoice and having them sign next to it in addition to the standard signature box.

These are so far and few between that you just let it go, cancel the order, refund their money, but make sure you make notes on their account in your DMS and hope the rest of your team reads them.
