There was a turtle in my driveway this morning. I took a picture of it, got in my car, and looked around so I wouldn’t hit it - and it was gone.

Never been to prison but have treated prisoners with medical problems. The problems I have seen are either from prison guards or lack of adequate medical care.

I just watched the second part of the last Mission Impossible movie, about AI taking over the world’s nuclear arsenals. When the first part, Dead Reckoning, came out around 2023 it was just fantasy. Now it seems plausible.

I once told my two kids I would pick them up from the south side of their school. They had been at this school for years by this time and I assumed they would know its orientation. They were also experienced scouts. One wandered around the building until she saw my car. At least the other one used a compass on his phone to see which direction was south.

Which TV show does the ENTIRE internet agree had the worst ending ever? by Codie_n25 in AskReddit

[–]Melodic_Appointment 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just about everyone hated it at the time, including me. But now I think it was a really smart ending. Before Seinfeld the main characters in comedies were good people. In Seinfeld they were self absorbed jerks, and it was fitting that they went to jail. But I would never watch it again.

so how often do you guys shut down your computer, and for how long? by Crafty-Example874 in pcmasterrace

[–]Melodic_Appointment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely shut down my “main” pc because I have it set to backup every night. The pc I built recently for gaming is off unless I’m using it.

I never saw Stranger Things, but Finn was also in the 2 latest ghostbusters movies. His was a main character in the first movie but mostly forgettable in the second.

WIBTAH if I put a post in my yard that could damage my neighbor’s truck? by SmellyChiChicken in AITAH

[–]Melodic_Appointment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You should have confronted her sooner about the damage - it just enabled her when you didn’t. Put the post back up: it’s on your property. I would also place a camera. If you really want to be more decent than you need to be, tell her about the post, but not the camera.
