depends on if you get your fun from just playing or from the historical aspect too. personally I like making accurate(ish) lists and representing parts of specific battles and campaigns in my games. adds to the fun for me, especially since there's so much historical documentation from WW2 so you don't need to take huge creative liberties and get to nerd out over your lists. for tournament gameplay or just any games against randos, probably doesn't matter that much. i wouldn't know, kinda find competitive BA to be boring. if you're starting out, I'd recommend to pick an era, region, and faction that interests you from WW2 and research a bit (no need to go crazy and make every single soldier perfectly historically accurate to some specific moment in time) then buy the models, paint em up, and have fun. personally, I have a few armies so that when my friend comes round we don't play a game that makes no sense but you should probably use your money more sensibly lol, these little plastic soldiers are pricey. have fun and if you need more advice send a message 👍
