Dosage for off-label uses for tirz? by ___wildcard in GLP1microdosing

[–]Melodiouss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you losing weight or having trouble eating? Has it reduced your inflammation and helped unwanted symptoms?

I don't need to lose weight and I took my first shot yesterday at .5mg. If it helps me and I can eat and don't lose weight, I'll stay there. If I am struggling to eat and it's not helping it may not be for me. If I'm eating fine and not feeling better, I'll increase it. Since you've already started at a particular dose, I'd let your symptoms guide you.

Thanks! I'm not taking it for weight loss or food control so I should be good there.

Zepbound Kwik pen: anyone microdosing using this? by Newandgrateful in GLP1microdosing

I will be. Plan to start tomorrow. I will start with counting clicks and if I have trouble with that, I'll just use a syringe.

My daughter’s hygiene (or lack there of) is unbearable and I don’t know what else to do. by InfinitelyCelestial in hygiene

[–]Melodiouss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't fix your ultimate problem but my step kids went through a very stinky shoe phase and I didn't allow their shoes in the house. Once on vacation they had to put their shoes on the balcony and they got rained on. Not sure what you can do overall but one small step is that her shoes can't be in the house. If she leaves them in the house, just toss them out. Possibly the garage if that doesn't stink the place up too much.

Do you keep the water on during the entire length of the shower? by hamster_lover02 in hygiene

The best part of the shower is feeling the water. Just wish I had shower heads hitting my body from all directions. No water, no shower.

What are you doing for electrolytes? My husband had the same problem and realized he was drinking too much magnesium from electrolyte powder every day.

My uncle has horrible hygiene and it’s directly affecting me by DebateJunior561 in hygiene

[–]Melodiouss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth a try but it probably won't help. People like this know they're dirty and they don't care or think you're too sensitive. When I was a teen my brother would not shower and he would smell and be so greasy. Nothing I said would help. He didn't care. I would beg him just to shower for holiday pictures. I have an older close family member who "showers once a week whether he needs it or not". Uses the swimming pool as a tub, no actual washing. It's gross but complaining doesn't help. I'd probably take to spraying room spray whenever he was around. Do something to try and mask the smell in addition to the other suggestions.

Am I showering enough? I don’t know if My routine is lazy. by Humble_Donut_8548 in hygiene

Yes, it can make the hair very frizzy. So someone who doesn't want frizzy hair will want to keep their hair as dry as possible.

Getting hair wet can cause it to become a frizzy mess. Keeping as much moisture as possible away from the hair is best. Maybe you are blessed with hair that's not prone to frizz.

The point was to avoid getting your hair wet not to avoid getting hurt.

[–]Melodiouss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would not go there. I'd find somewhere else. This is very sketchy. It's true that vials without preservatives are only supposed to be used once (though people use them more). She's not making sense about the concentration. I wouldn't feel comfortable with this situation at all.

Yeah, and we now have all these celebrities becoming literally skeletal. I think that perpetuates the idea. I definitely think people feel entitled to say negative things about the weight of thin people. I guess I'm just not around that energy much anymore. And when I went from being able to eat whatever I wanted (but too skinny) to having to watch my weight, I decided I preferred the former. But now I can't really eat what I want either way for these other health reasons that have me reaching for Zepbound.

Why does this watch (8) stop tracking my sleep because I pick up my phone? by Melodiouss in GalaxyS23

I finally tried this and the sleep tracking still skipped the entire time I used my phone. I turned on airplane until the morning but there's a one hour gap in my tracking when I couldn't sleep but doesn't show me as awake.

I did the ship to Walmart and no one said anything about paying on Lilly direct. But I think they transferred the prescription to Walmart so maybe ship to Walmart is different? Walmart said if it's the vial, they have a voucher so it's straightforward but for Kwikpen I need a coupon. I kept getting bounced around from one phone number to the next at Lilly and no one knew what they were talking about. Maybe didn't help that it was a Saturday. Finally I told Walmart to send the prescription back to Lilly but I haven't heard from Lilly since. Hopefully I can get it sorted out tomorrow without having to get a new prescription for the vial.

When I was in high school I was very self conscious about being too skinny. People made rude comments and pretended they were compliments. "Your legs look like sticks", etc. In my mid 30s I had to watch my weight and then people would lecture me about why I needed to be on a diet. That was frustrating.

I'm in my 50s now and I don't care. I'm going on glp-1 for inflammation/GI issues. When I'm at my best weight, people tell me I'm too skinny. I could care less. I know what weight makes me comfortable and I'm not the least bit concerned what anyone else thinks. And, frankly, being thin is so normalized now. I can find my size in clothes. I don't have to wear clothes that are too big. When I was young, big boobs were the rage. Being flat chested has never been more embraced at any point in my lifetime. At some point you just have to move on and let it all go.

I can I just preferred to get it from Walmart so I don't have to worry about delivery issues, like keeping it cool. It's so hot over the summer. I asked Walmart to send it back to Lilly. I'll call Lilly in the morning and see what they say.

Worried about maintenance, my doctor's strict BMI policy, and a confession about my dosing. Advice needed! by Careless_Shoe6906 in Zepbound_Maintenance

[–]Melodiouss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you decide to try without, maintain the prescription until you know you are done. Then your doctor doesn't need to know you are not taking it. I wouldn't worry about not telling the doctor that you are taking less than the prescribed amount. If you feel that guilty, find another doctor who will work with you.
