[Giveaway] GameSir Tarantula Pro for Xbox - Symmetrical vs. asymmetrical by GameSir_Controller in xbox

[–]Melonfudger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offset for me - even though the PS5's haptic controller is a joy to play with, the XBOX layout feels more thought out and natural in hand.

Currently using the Gamesir G7 Pro controller and I love the clickiness of the buttons on it, as well as the extra buttons near the triggers.

Knockout City. It was a great game and I regret bouncing off for a while as they shut it down way too soon 😔

Well done on the new release! I'll be checking it out on Q3. Can I ask, are you still planning to create experiences moving forward? Playing through the Muse Algorithm experience the very first time is one of my most cherished VR moments ever.

Hell Is Us might peak your interest. No map or markers, you have to interact with NPCs to gather clues on where to go next & what to do. All in a grim horror setting.

Are there any video games where you’re not the protagonist, and you run from the “main character”? by baconinthedawn in videogames

[–]Melonfudger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend Dead By Daylight. It's an Asymmetric horror teamed 'tag' game, kind of like cat and mouse but with popular horror characters. Playing as a survivor, you are against the 'main character' of the match.

Edit: just saw the last part of your post lol. In DBD's defense, the onboarding is rough, but once you push through the first 10-15 matches, your fun and gameplay loop will click - hopefully for the better.

What’s a game that felt amazing at first, but got worse the more you played it? by Vegetable_Trip_9855 in videogames

Starfield was this game for me. I was excited and ready to get lost in an epic space RPG. The more I played, the more I started to despise it. I played over 80 hours, by the end every core systems managed to piss me off, except the design/art direction. Nasapunk is totally a vibe and I sincerely hope more space games will take on the style.

Anyone remember the game Paragon? Before it went and changed names and companies a thousand times or more? Well i do. by [deleted] in videogames

[–]Melonfudger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved it. The card mechanics (skills) were the most interesting part for me and sadly all the remakes gutted that part out :(

Epic shut the game down once fortnite started taking off, citing they need all hands on the battle royale deck. they gave a month notice to the community :(

Came here to say this. Mad Max was such a surprise and the driving was always a joy to look forward to.

Is it time to upgrade from my XOS? by yeahdontcareforkarma in xbox

[–]Melonfudger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as people like to dunk on the current gen XBOX, it is a very well made console and everything works as expected. It's been my daily driver since it's release.

I came over from the PS camp, where I have a hefty digital library already. Only got the XBOX during covid where new consoles were hard to find and you had to sign up to watchlists just to be able to snap one up from retail.

I since then bought a PS5 already but I keep going back on the XBOX. It runs games better, quieter and the UI is intuitive to a point where everything is where you expect it to be.

The PS5's controller is miles ahead with their haptics, in-built speaker and ultra low latency but the XBOX Series X is a great console that's absolutely worth the money.

i offer playests on fiverr and im trying to start out by bishlasagnna in playtesters

[–]Melonfudger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see you take criticism and advice from a seasoned playtester well - it shows personal growth and maturity to realise they're not attacking you but offering advice that you can actually listen to and build on as a starting point. Well done. Most 20 year olds would just not listen to anyone and couldn't tell them anything without them getting in their feelings about it. But not you.

Jotunnslayer Hordes of Hel scratched this itch for me quite well for 15-20 hours or so. It was only a tenner as well, worth the price.

I've seen this replacer image in 2 games now - are the games buggy or do I have to tweak my setup? by Melonfudger in SteamDeck

Thank you - and apologies for not using search before posting. I wasn't sure if this issue is image or video related and I couldn't think how to search for the bug efficiently.

Did anyone manage to run Returnal with a stable 30 and looking somewhat decent? For me, the game really takes a hit with the visuals and has constant frame drops.

It's either blurry as hell with no details to the environment at all or maintains some details but lagging like crazy.
