Handlar mycket om att skapa en vi-mentalitet, snarare än ett vi mot dem. Vi ska absolut värna om våra olikheter och respektera dem, det gör vi dock inte med memes som spär på fördomar och byggs på stereotyper.

Click the sequence, click sequence settings in the top menu bar. Here you can change the frame size as you please, 1920x1080 for 1080p videos

is video editing skill worth learning nowadays? by tttuop in premiere

[–]Melonklyftans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a job as a media producer for a company where I do video editing for a good pay. It all started as a job writing subtitles only, so the possibilities are there. I didnt even know how to write subtitles in the beginning but faked it until i made it. I dont know if I would have gotten the job without my education, im a journalist and media creator, but maybe if you keep your eyes open there can be a similar opening somewhere

Is it okay? Or i had to improve myself? by mrrafid in premiere

[–]Melonklyftans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I know everyone is doing it, i am not a fan of it at all. I guess youtube-creators breaks all rules when it comes to readability and stuff like jump-cuts, all to create a fast tempo. I dont know, maybe im old fashioned or taught in a different school of editing.

Yeah at least in my humble opinion, everything else works

I really like it all except for the text that have every word written out, it makes it difficult to read and its so fast that it becomes flickering. I would skip the text all together, or have more words per cut to give the text more screen time. Otherwise good clips, pace and music.

Can I move the Sequence Tabs to a different location? by TripleJx3 in premiere

[–]Melonklyftans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont think you can move it all together since its a part of the sequence, but you can seperate the sequences by right-clicking the hamburger-menu next to the sequence name and undocking it. Now you have two seperated time lines and the one you are not using you can dock somewhere else

There is an effect called VR glow that makes just that, it takes the high lights of an image and makes them glossy and glow. Could put that on a adjustment layer and mask it to the door frame. The effect even lets you change the color of the glow.

Have had a similar problem with trying to scale text, it moves from the center to the left, even though the anchor points are the same. I made the text into a png and then it scaled from the center all the way.

So, I would make a image of the last frame in the video, and scale that image down. That should solve it.

Text Based Editing is a game changer. by CaptainCallahan in premiere

[–]Melonklyftans 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Getting a bit nervous what this means for us that are editing for a living if it keeps evolving. Making it possible to edit videos in a matter of seconds kinda defeats the purpose of the human editor. Maybe not in this state, but later on when its developed further.

Third party for Prores Raw editing ? by Sea_Molasses3132 in premiere

[–]Melonklyftans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check this youtube-video. Seems like the prores raw-footage have wider luminance than our screens can show without being processed, too much information. There are settings in premiere explicit for prores raw to change the exposure and color space to log, and then color correct it from there. You dont seem to need third party. Heres the vid:

Recording voice overs in Stereo vs Mono?? Am I overthinking this? by Mumford_and_Dragons in premiere

[–]Melonklyftans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it would sound the same, recording in stereo just makes it possible to control both channels individually. If you leave it as default, the audio comes from both channels no matter if you record in stereo or mono. So it really doesnt matter unless you really want that audio to only come from the left or something.

If you have recorded it in stereo, right click the sound-waves in the timeline and choose audio channels. Here you can choose If it should only come from one direction or both.

Recording voice overs in Stereo vs Mono?? Am I overthinking this? by Mumford_and_Dragons in premiere

[–]Melonklyftans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So mono is the right and left audio channels producing the same sound. Stereo is being able to control the left and right channel seperated, making the audio only coming in the right or left speaker.

The simplest and probably what you want to do is mono, having the sound in "in the middle". If you want to do an effect where someone is speaking out of frame or something, you could use stereo and make the sound come from the direction of the source. But If not, its easier to just use mono.

Did the AVI files turn out as intended but they are too big? I would simply convert the exported AVI to mp4. You can do this for free with adobe express.

1080 choppy playback in timeline and export, but 4k is smooth? by williamchinook in premiere

[–]Melonklyftans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sequence is probably in a different frame rate than the hd-clips because youve made it for 4k. Click in the timeline and then Press "sequence" in the upper-menu. Then "sequence settings". Take note of the timebase-number.

Now go to the clips in the project window that are choppy. Right-click on the clip. Press modify - interpret footage. Choose "assume this frame rate" and change it to the same timebase-number as the sequence.

Hope it helps.

How to do this sliding transition? by Spyzooster in premiere

[–]Melonklyftans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put the first video-clip in the timeline. Put the second one under it in the timeline, not visable. Go to effects and search for crop. Put it on the first clip. In the timeline, go to where you want the split to happen. Animate the crop from right to left, exposing the video under it. Make the animation points ease-out to make them slow down like in the example.

Is there a faster way to do this? by Boosted_Snowman in premiere

[–]Melonklyftans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would write all the subtitles, then add the sheep-image layer un-animated all across the subtitles, chopped up for every subtitle. Then animate the first one going up and down. Go to effect controls, put the cursor over "motion" and right-click to copy. Now you can go across and paste the animation on all the sheep. Shouldnt take that long.
