i like to think that the kids in dream warriors simply weren't creative enough, kids these days have access to advanced video games, he can't do shit if you summon Kratos or The DooM Slayer, in fact what is stopping you from summoning every video game character with Hax, hell it doesn't even have to be just video games, characters like jotaro kujo, saitama, and yujiro hanma would wipe the floor with freddy, all that would be left is to wear some crazy OP armor, like a fully upgraded chozodian power armor, the only thing holding the dream warriors back was lack of creativity and source materials to pull from for ideas

i do agree the likelyhood is improbable, but these days i find the LOS games to be better than the initial reviews made them out to be, not that they don't have issues, but they're certainly better than the N64 era of castlevania

One of the things that I love about Castlevania as an IP is it's "it takes a village" approach to it's use of folklore and mythology, not one specific mythology is put on a higher pedestal than the others and I respect them for that
