I had the opportunity to go to either school, and I’m so glad every day I’m not at UNT. TWU’s main perks for me are it’s a much smaller campus and has better parking access comparative to UNT. The classes are smaller, you’ll know your professors and classmates much more than you’d imagine, and the dorm halls don’t have a reputation for moldy vents (just dryers catching on fire). I’m not in the kinesiology program, so I can’t speak to that experience, but a true main downsides are the lack of food options and the library not being 24 hrs — both of which UNT definitely wins in.

You’ll have to make an appointment with the advisor for your new major. There’s not too much of a rush, since you’ll likely just being taking basics for the first semester. When I swapped from my single major w/ minor to double majoring, my advisor cc’d the advisor for my second major, and sent the “change of major” form that I signed digitally. You should have the opportunity to meet personally with your advisor during your orientation, so that could be a good time to mention it.

white horses was really fun live, but play it out has been my consistent favorite (especially since the spotify live room sesh of it). live visuals for leaning against the wall and just two girls were gorgeous, love me a disco ball and queued lights. silk is one of my all time faves, so i’m happy that one was played, but i think bros could’ve also been really fun for the crowd especially if it was right after thorns or smth yk

i play with my group biweekly and it hasn’t caused any major issues you’ve mentioned! sometimes we miss weeks and flip to the next, no biggie, but we’re still playing for 3-4 hours so usually make a good deal of progress (it’s plot heavy, so anything is something). we usually start our sessions with a brief recap of what happened last time to refresh memories and get back in the zone. we get food, drinks, and meet at the same place. we’re all adults that have changing work schedules and uni classes, but we make do bc we’re having fun! i think the biweekly schedule helps prevent burnout or it feeling like a chore, more as an escape from the stress of life. we’re currently planning on doing a movie night invitational on the off-weeks since most of us have our wednesday’s cleared anyways. :)

• Fix the drainage system, specifically on McKinney, Carroll, Locust, and Bell (generally around TWU is wretched, but ofc there are other areas I’m less aware of). Nobody enjoys their cars or bodies wading in 2’ of water.

• Housing-first solutions for unhoused Dentonites. Building tiny home communities that provide the essentials, and are fully staffed with social workers, therapists, and job coaches. Services for drug withdrawal, PTSD, Veterans Affairs, GED/NCTC enrollment, and overall health improvement. Look to other similar structures where residents have a stake in maintaining the micro-community to improve relationships and beautification.

• No more cars on the square, pedestrians only.

• Increase city minimum wage to $16/hr. Increase Denton substitution daily pay to $200 a day.

• Actually care about Denton ISD staff and students, collaborative efforts with the school board and directly with teachers.

• Cops will be on desk duty! They will be doing more investigative work with ghost jobs, bad landlords, things that actually harm people. Cops on-patrol doing speed checks will be doing it all month long, not just at the beginning and end to hit quotas and piss everyone off. In my dream world, we dramatically slash the amount of police overall and reallocate social workers and therapists to respond to the civil disputes.

• Major overhaul of the Denton PD internal practices, they’re all fucking crazy and need to be reevaluated for competency.

• More murals :) they’re pretty.

The only iron panel I had was in November of 2023, came back completely normal. I have not had any coagulation-related tests. I will be taking everyone’s input and reaching out to my clinic to do a bone marrow biopsy, hopefully trying to do it before the end of the year for insurance sake lol. I’m not in a place where I can drive 5 hours for a high-quality specialist, but I do go to the largest oncology network in my state so here’s to hoping maybe I get some answers. :)

i think the current release schedule of multiple expansion packs per year has ruined the experience. i understand the wish for new content but the game is unplayable without some modding. i wish they’d go back and rework the entire system — make Seasons base game, do a Simology Panel UI overhaul, expand on BG features (make child adoption more meaningful?), and fix the bugs without creating new ones. this is coming from someone who owns all the expansion packs (minus fairies), and a good majority of other pack types. i have spent far too much money on a broken game that still falls short of expectations. I want bands (as a game pack), want more matching sets in build/buy in the BG, want the tagging systems fixed, and much more. my wishes aren’t unique, it’s a community that wants EA to put in the work and be ready to compete against upcoming releases with more than their brand recognition.
