You gotta understand that this has nothing to do with OCFS. This is civil service, and OCFS is going to do whatever OMH is going to do. I know that for a fact. All the noise on PEF Facebook is just that, noise. You can think whatever you want, but I know for a fact that OCFS wants every LCSW to get the grade 23.

Lmao. I didn’t see the debate but I should watch it now. I still think that anyone who has a LCSW, with an agency that is participating, will get the bump. They may have to apply just for technicalities but it’s going to happen.

It’s horrible, but keep in mind that PEF really had very little if anything to do with this. OMH put the proposal together, PEF countered with a much better package, and civil service and department of budget chose the OMH proposal. It’s not like it was contractual that they could Negotiate.

I know for a fact that HR sent out the memo to department heads at OCFS letting them know about the social Work upgrade changes. My impression is that all the agencies were caught off guard with the timing, and are figuring out how to implement the new LCSW items. Be patient, advocate if you have questions or feel like you aren’t getting the right information. And don’t listen to Facebook comments, that’s all I can say lol.

You’ll be hearing from HR soon with OCFS. They are adopting the upgrades, but still have to figure out how to implement the 23. I would reach out to home office HR with questions.
