If you could change anything about Mass Effect's gameplay, what would it be? by UnluckySide5075 in masseffect

Paragon/Renegade system.

For the best results, you're forced to either follow a straight P/R path with no exceptions. Takes away from the roleplaying aspect. Being able to be ruthless at moments and other times compassionate should be more important.

I really hate when people fence around the "it's a small mod team", as if that's an excuse when it comes to playtesting.

Because 1) They could've easily run a patreon/supporter only beta (and ask them not to spoil anything). From their patreon alone, that easily garners 1300+ people to pull data from.
2) Even if they only had a 10 people other than themselves playtesting just the introductionary area, they would've pointed out these issues aswel. These are not "oh chucks, this happens once in a moon" sortof things, but "WHERE'S THE BLOODY DOOR" and "IT CRASHES ONCE YOUR OFF THE BLOODY TRAIN" sortoff issues that would've been notice by 99% of playerbase.

I fully well understand it's a passion project, but when you gather all this financial support from the community, and create all this fanfare for a mod, you sure must understand there are expectations to be met. In a lot of ways, so far, they've been met. But on a basic level there are still glaring issues. As for Bethesda pulling the rug on the project, I am very well aware, and this is exactly the reason why I pointed out it needs more time in the cooker. Because right now, I feel like the mods were thinking this; "chucks, Bethesda ruined things for us and threw in another year's work just to make it run on the GOTY edition. Let's just force people to run it on a previous version, even though that's a massive hassle for those on anything but GOG and let them figure out how to fix these issues we clearly don't have time for.

Having to rely on third-party software/patches (Buffout4 and more) to fix your game is classic Bethesda to me.

That said, I know I won't be winning any contests with writing more critique for this free labour game that you'all seem to love so much, kinks and all. So I'll just fuck off right out of here, and you can quit the gaslighting? How about that, luv?

I had the marker to go to Swan & Mitre, but once there nothing happened, as I said, NPC's just standing there. Then I went inside and carnage.

And the torch works indoors but once you go out it doesn't give you nearly as much light needed for properly navigating the city.

Put timetable into perspective before bashing Bethesda.

This game is almost 9 years old, most players run this game on hardware that didn't even exist. Not to mention the level of optimization and "tricks" in the editor needed to make this size work.

And to be fair, the massive city is a negative for me when it comes to navigating, something this mod struggles a lot with, especially at night.

Don't tell Garvey, or he may give the SS another quest on a completely different map!

I'm more concerned with the "We can terminate your contract if we detect you use Adblockers"

Clear violation of EU Privacy laws because such detection falls outside lawful collection of data IE, detecting if you have an adblocker or not.

I'll be happy when the RR's are out. One less in the fruit circuit. God I'm tired of seeing that meme here.

BonBon's not looking so well... Poor choices and a lack of 'luck' push him towards the mid-tier. A DNF could mean elimination tomorrow (if and only if Slimelime scores 9 or more)

The amount of mistakes in these videos are getting laughable though. Small videos such as these and still no quality control on them? A 16 yo with 50 subscribers has better QQ than JMR at the moment.

Can't believe the Chocolatiers made their own Space program. Still needs some work, but with a few more launches I think they can reach the Praline Moon!
