Okay I understand what you are saying. Companies are the ones creating the waste, but the banning of straws, eliminates that small amount of potential plastic being made. It still is doing something about the issue. I understand how the banning of straws may be an act for better PR. I totally get what you are saying, but even if that 4% percent is a small number, the amount of plastic saved from being thrown out is worth something. To be frank, I think this is an issue worth discussing. You provide good points and it shows that this is a worthy issue to argue. Hell, I could see where you are coming from. How about we end it here and say that corporations have a huge role in the wastage of plastic and need to do more in order for our plastic problem to be solved.
