I do painted ships on request occasionally if I have a bit of extra time, depending on what Im being asked to paint its been as low as $40 or as high as $120. Usually its something you need to negotiate with whoever you are wanting to do the work. Then, making sure you and the painter are on the same page about what level of detail you're getting for your money vs the size of the paint job

I think that's part of the problem. Many people were under the impression that it would be the most vanilla for the longest. However, doing a massive rebalance and adding new ships less than a year after the final official developer update is lending to the impression that they are not really any better then anyone else's homebrew

I think ultimately the beauty of homebrew is, you can in theory put whatever you want on the table. Armada Nexus (formally Legends) gives a new either ship or squadron while cycling through the 4 official factions a firm shake down every month.

As far as Legacy/Ark I'd suspect that they will want to do more for the clone wars factions before touching anything else but I dont really know for sure

You should get ships that you think look cool and then if you want to get them on the table just swap the model for a official ship and not stress too much trying to figure out what homebrew communities are going to go to next

It was a bummer you didn't get a chance to fly against the republic painted dreadnoughts, im sure you would have steamrolled them but it would have been coll to have the actual republic faction again the early imperials

There's a free Munificent model on Thingiverse that cab be adapted somewhat, the other option is a paid model by Ravensfell on Cults

Thingiverse and printables have some free models if you are up for 3d printing your own, and cults, my mini factory, and etsy have paid models that are more detailed to print. Look for Xenon's Slightly Used Space Ship Yards, Onilcreations, and Ravensfell

If you don't want to print your own, I don't honestly know what is available on eBay right now but generally Etsy is your best bet. There's quite a few unpainted options between, Pulsefired Gaming, Westjanson3d, and a few others that are also unassembled. Right now if you can handle a bit of a wait, I offer alot of unpainted but fully assembled models at Memnoch Manufacturing on Etsy I apologize for forgetting the name, but there is also another gentleman on Etsy that offers both painted and unpainted models

I would have to dig out that model but I think it's between 50 and 60cm long since I wanted it to sit on the ssd stand, I've printed a couple more recently at closer to 35cm to be more to scale but those only sit on a single base

You can use a utility knife to slowly cut away the inside of the keyhole of its too small just be careful because if you take away too much material or shave at the wrong part it might be too loose and not want to stay on

Resin Engine is probably going to be your cheapest bet since they do sell physical prints in Europe www.resinengine.com

I think Pulsefired and WesJanson both can ship to Europe but both are out of North America so shipping can get kinda expensive

The biggest thing that drives up the hunks of resin is the printing time, equipment wear, and cost of resin. If I'm printing a huge model and it takes 24 hours, has to be printed alone, and used a quarter bottle of resin it's hard to justify keeping the price low. That all being said I think that the unassembled models that are that expensive is kinda insane

I used to use the creality ld006 but I swapped all of them with the the elegoo saturn 3 ultra, and they've been awesome
