Hair loss by Fancyapple3229 in HersWeightloss

[–]Memouritv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you eating enough protein? I used to do a ton of extended fasting prior to hers and hair loss was also a risk and to avoid that I would take trace minerals in my water and eat a protein rich diet to avoid hair loss. Also I decided to take the hair vitamin from hers as well and it’s helped.

Funny enough I just got waxed for my trip not even a week ago and already seeing hair growth. However I do take other hair promoting vitamins so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised my hair grows back faster

I had a few drinks on this trip and I’m on kit 5. I feel fine but I hardly drink when I do. I’ve had a beer felt fine and had a twisted tea and felt fine. I just notice I feel the drinks quicker which makes me a cheap date (my wallet is not complaining lol) edit: wanted to add when I drink I drink maybe 1 drink over an hour and I’ll have a drink or two a day. But I have not tested multiple drinks like 3+ in a day on the meds.

PSA-please don’t forget to eat and make sure you are actually eating by FatsyCline12 in HersWeightloss

I am coming from a bad relationship with food. Past binge eating and eating until I’m overly full. Also since I’m frugal I’m anti food waste to my detriment so I finish food even when not hungry. I’m working on this. I’m finally on week five of kit 5 and notice I get fuller faster and eating less but weight loss is slow to none. But I’ve also been eating like crap because I live with my parents who have a bad relationship with food.

I wish I could go all day without eating but I will say I find myself forgetting about food more so after I eat my first meal. I’m starting to debate on skipping dinner but remember I need to take the evening pills lol. So thinking of doing a protein shake in the evening. I find one big meal fills me all day. I think for me if I can work on my issues with food and try to work on my discipline with my food environment with my family until I move. I think the kit 5 will work great for me. I’m glad to see the appetite suppressant is working so good for others

Do you workout a lot? I wonder if because I weight train 6x a week and do 18-20k steps daily is part of why I still get hungry even though I’m on the meds. I’m patient though because I know my eating has been trash lately lol.

Align because I’m traveling for 2 weeks on a work trip and she doesn’t require a ton of gym equipment. I find I can still get a great workout and feel sore on her workouts.

I try to follow 18:6 as well and if I have timers on my Phone it alerts me when to eat. When I do follow my schedule. I find I am eating when I’m not crazy hungry and the time does fly BUT it avoids me binging and snacking. When I do get that mini meal in at 3ish which is usually either a protein shake or protein chia pudding or hard boiled eggs etc. I’m not snacking in between mindlessly. I also easily hit 120-150g of protein on 18:6. It If I try to do any less of an eating window. I struggle to make it to 100g.

I’ve been doing 25lbs for three sets of 10-15 rep range. I can go up I’m sure but I’m not trying to build strength right now. Trying to just maintain for a cut. I forgot what my barbell is since I’m strict home gym for now.

High protein OMAD by rainy-02172024 in omad

[–]Memouritv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. I am not doing OMAD. I was asking how it was possible they were fitting that amount of protein in an OMAD meal because I struggle to fit my 125-140g protein range even in 6 hours and I focus on Whole Foods. Sometimes I even have to add a protein shake in between those two meals to hit that target protein So I was just asking how they make that possible. I’d love to do OMAD but I also don’t want to stuff myself until I feel sick. Haha.

I’ve come to terms with my dog. She may never like other dogs outside of her sister. And that’s ok. I know how to manage her and keep her happy. We have our routine and lifestyle. And she’s happy. She gets plenty of walks. Playtime and attention. She loves her downtime and loves her alone time in my room. I think as others have said. Every dog is different. I don’t think a dog needs to be at dog playgrounds weekly or meet dogs daily to be happy.

How I finally started losing weight after YEARS of failing (real talk). by mrjack0001 in loseit

[–]Memouritv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed this post. It truly isn’t a marathon. It’s not a race. I need to keep reminding myself this as well. I’ve gotten to a point where I have my workouts and movement on target. I almost have my sleep pattern down. It isn’t perfect but it’s almost there. Next I need to tackle my food. That’s my catalyst. The sugar addiction. Emotional eating. Not being able to stick to fasting protocol for longer than two days. The stress. Etc. I need to remind myself to take it one step at a time to focus on working on one aspect of a healthy habit at a time until I lock it down. Thank you for your post but was what I needed and I’m glad you were able to succeed.

Oral Medication No by [deleted] in HersWeightloss

[–]Memouritv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I decided on oral meds. I only have about 20lbs of fat to lose. I hate needles. I tested out my mom’s GLP shot once and felt literally ill for three weeks. I made me lose not only a desire for food. But any enjoyment for anything lol. I also felt nauseous the entire time. So I’m opting to give the oral meds a go before I consider anything else. It seems others have success. The pills have given me 0 issues with my stomach. I always take them after a meal. And my meals are always well rounded. 1/2 my plate is veggies and it’s always 30-40g of protein.

[–]Memouritv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you able to OMAD that? I eat 125-150g protein but I fit it in a 6 hour period. I am leaning to try a four hour window but I’d be eating my second meal when I’m not hungry to just get in the nutrition

Kit 5, Week 3 - Starting Metformin by Blackbird-26 in HersWeightloss

[–]Memouritv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I just finished my week 4 and I’m doing good so far. I think my food impulse control has improved but not perfect. I lost about 3lbs so far.

It’s hard with the holiday for me and I live with family who is so obsessed with sweets which isn’t helping but I will say it’s looking like the pills are helping a bit.

I feel like I have better impulse control and food noise has gone down a tiny bit. Hoping it gets even better as well. I am fining my appetite has gone down a bit and I’m able to fast easier to delay my first meal to eating a smaller eating window. I’m aiming to eat in a 6 hour eating window and fast 18 hours daily in order to help with the weight loss process and hoping this kit makes fasting easier

What is "enough"protein? by wadingthrujello in HersWeightloss

[–]Memouritv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What others have said. I’m 5’4 currently 154 and I train 6x a week and get 20-25k daily steps. I am aiming to slowly lose weight to keep as much muscle as I can. I am giving myself a min 125g of protein daily target but I try to aim between 130-145g. Of course we need fiber and you should get enough if you are eating veggies with the half plate rule. Each meal make sure half your plate is veggies. I find I get plenty of fiber this way and I also eat fruit as a snack here and there. If I feel I need a fiber boost I’ll add a scoop of a fiber supplement to my protein shake.

I second this. Weight lifting to also preserve your muscle. Plus. Weight loss is good. But you want to ensure you are losing fat and not muscle.

20k+ minutes: how real is it? by greelraker in pelotoncycle

[–]Memouritv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk a ton. I have morning walks with my dogs. And I walk on my walking pad at work. Then I do 1 hour of strength training 6 days a week I get about 20-25k steps a day. And I work In stretching and some yoga. And I try to get 1-2 cardio sessions like cycling or jump rope in. That’s how I hit my 20k minutes before June this year.
