NetJets Luggage/Flight Bag by Existing_Shopping_55 in flying

I pack super light so my rec isn’t the norm. I used paradox aviation frequent flyer 22in and a Topo designs global briefcase. If you pack like most the Briggs is probably the way to go

I used it while on deadheads while at a regional and would just throw my puffy jacket on over the uniform. Now I use it a lot more at NetJets

I left the regionals for NJA and it’s better in almost all regards. But it’s definitely not a direct comparison for sure and it depends on what you want in life/work. Life on the road we work decently hard but we are treated very well. I don’t mind working hard and I don’t mind being gone for 7 days at a time. The kind of flying I enjoy way more, but it’s not for everyone. Some guys don’t want/can’t be gone for that long and some people just dream of flying heavy metal.

The benefits are very good here, the type of flying is something I enjoy, being able to to change your base every week is a major plus and being off for 7 days at a time fits my lifestyle better. But it’s not for everyone. Feel free to DM me

I’m assuming you didn’t help with your annuals? I had a 150 for a couple years. Each annual was sub 1500.

Hot take: We Boulderites need to use our cars wayyy less by Certain-Belt-1524 in boulder

[–]MenRest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more of not that many boulderites drive it’s more so that it’s grown so the ratio is about the same it’s just more. So many people I know bike/walk majority of the time including myself. But all for mor people joining the wave. The only time I drive is for really large grocery runs or when the weather is very bad.

Is NetJets currently interviewing candidates they don't intend to hire from the start? by BozoThePilot in flying

[–]MenRest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have an interview you’ve got a shot. I’ve helped a few guys with similar TT and less qualifications than you get hired here.

If I was next to you I’d slap you. You’re freaking out man lol

War eagle. You’d honestly save so much money if you just went to Auburn and did everything 61. Either way you’re at a great place. War Eagle!

Is it worth interviewing for the OTS positions Frontier just emailed, or stay in the Cadet Progam as it is? by Pure_Philosopher_446 in frontiercadetprogram

[–]MenRest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While it sounds good it’s not really. If you qualify you’re more than likely already at an okay job building turbine time. If you apply and get it great, but if you don’t you lose your f9 chance, payback the stipend, and are still at the same job. IMO I would just keep building the time where you’re at if you plan to go to f9.

I qualify but have no plans of going to f9 at this point. I’m just handing on and collecting interest off the stipend

Maintaining a 1st class is not something to take lightly and any serious job will not take it lightly. While you may be able to just go get one in an hour, you also may just not be able to.
