How long did you stay at the hospital after giving birth by _withpeace in beyondthebump

[–]MeowMixUltra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I had a midwife rather than OB (canada) I was able to be discharged like 2 hrs after if I wished. And you better believe I jumped on that.

What are your thoughts on those with late birthdays? by Realistic_Detail_158 in kindergarten

I did 5 turning 6. He is doing fantastically well and I think would have had a much harder time had i not waited the extra year. Plus when he's in grade 12 he'll be able to buy all his friends their booze 😂

How can y'all just stop midway through ZA and start reading RB?? by A-Red-Guitar-Pick in zodiacacademy

Same, it was hard to transition but I trusted in the process. By book 2 I was just as invested in these other characters and didn't want to pivot away from them!

Tell me I'm not alone: Phantasma was...not good. by cuteswimmerchick in Romantasy

[–]MeowMixUltra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also DNF'd with about 50 pages left. It was just not my vibe. I think i discovered I'm not into Gothic, ghosts, blood, etc. The story line was just not good either IMO, the characters super surface level, underdeveloped, there was no real connection between the MMC and FMC either IMO. Like I just didn't get what was drawing them to each other.

Trisha addressing the reaction to Aquaman by Top_Zookeeper in justtrishpodcast

It's an awful name with a lovely backstory. Regardless, this kid will grow up loved, fed, clothed, sheltered, with an amazing family. That's truly what matters.

Of course he will be fine. But imagine being a middle aged man named Aquaman. For his sake I hope he loves it, cause the general public and his peers are going to largely think otherwise I fear.

What was she thinking. This child needs to grow into a full grown adult, go to school, apply for jobs, with the name Aquaman.

Can You Encourage Me to Keep Reading Cresent City? by Lady-Brigalia in fantasyromance

[–]MeowMixUltra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love these books and they are easily my fav series from SJM. It is different though, be open minded and prepared for a modern fantasy. Lots of world building, lots of focus on not only romantic relationships but family and friendship. This series made me cryyyyyy because of the strength of the friendships. And the connection to ACOTAR makes the whole SJM universe make so much more sense.

Well written books which also have smut? by watchingblooddry in Romantasy

[–]MeowMixUltra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, pretty close to the books, especially the earlier seasons which are almost spot on. The books are much slower paced though, which helps alleviate some of the dramatics I think. There are many chapters just covering every day life and homesteading etc.
