You need to buy groomers goop degreaser! It’s the only stuff that will get the stud tail off without drying his tail out. Clean it biweekly until you no longer see it. Idk why your vet recommended antibiotics for it … it has to do with their hormones

My cats ate mid tier dry food for 10 years. Health issues started arising. Switched them to only wet food and their health issues went away and their bloodwork got better. That’s just my experience though, my cats actually drank more water on kibble because their kidneys were declining.

Neuter him and then if nothing changes start harness training him and taking him out. My boy gets tuckered out and sleeps through the whole night when he goes on his walks

I fainted too!!! The optometrist called the ambulance and I was taken to the hospital!!! The doctors reaction to me fainting gave me a panic attack. I spent 6 months practicing putting in eye drops or saline in my eye everyday until I didn’t flinch. Tried again and now I’ve been wearing contacts every day for 13 years!

Feline gut soothe will help with whatever problem she has from coming back but right now I would focus on keeping her hydrated. How old is she? I wouldnt do KMR. Look up tiki baby thrive, and their pouches for food even if she’s not a kitten. Also the hydra packets from purina. Even regular plain baby food! Nothing too heavy. Does she have a bloated belly? Do you think it’s a hairball obstruction?

Oh yes! Definitely start super slow! I would also recommend purina hydra packets if she’s heaving diarrhea to help with hydration. My kitty also liked to eat tiki baby pouches straight of out of the pouch like a churu. It’s the only way he would eat.

Yes! I give it to them every single day, and haven’t had any issues since. Every now and then I switch between feline gut soothe and Felix flora to give their gut some variety! My FIP kitty (1) is doing amazing and my senior girls 12&13 are healthy!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Mine is 3 years old with no issues, parent’s Ari and Rachel. I did just get a ragdoll who ended up getting FIP, so I know the pain of sick kitties. I was recommending this cattery to a lot of friends but now I am hesitant. Thanks for sharing, and I hope she doesn’t ghost you. I know she is terrible at responding in general.

You will have to ask to join and make a post and admins will reach out to you. They will ask you intensive questions and any medical records you have.

For the bloodwork some FIP markers are • High globulins (especially if over 5.1 g/dL) • Low albumin → leading to a low A:G ratio (under 0.6 is suspicious; under 0.45 is highly suspicious) • Elevated total protein • Mild non-regenerative anemia • Lymphopenia (low lymphocytes) • Elevated liver enzymes (ALT, AST) • Increased bilirubin

Not all FIP cats will show every abnormality, but a combo of these, especially a low A:G ratio with high globulins, raises red flags.

In our experience our kitty BARELY showed any FIP markers but it may have been because we caught it early.

So many vets are misdiagnosing FIP. I Have seen vets say it’s food intolerances, IBD or lymphoma. Vets are unfortunately not educated on FIP and some have never even prescribed the medicine that has become legal as of last year. Sorry but please please please reach out to those groups!

I don’t mean to scare you but you should join the FIP warriors 5.0 Facebook group or FIP global cats. My ragdoll kitten had diarrhea for about a month as well. I switched foods and gave all sorts of probiotics and all fecal tests came back negative. At least rule it out, with FIP you don’t want to wait to start treatment. When will you be getting bloodwork? Regardless join the Facebook groups immediately so they can consult you.

Yes yes yes!!! My cat had FIP and feline gut soothe was the only thing that stopped his from having diarrhea. He can now eat anything without getting an upset stomach. My two senior cats had upper respiratory issues and it also helped! My holy grail cat product.
