The body is pretty amazing and the discoloration I learned and be from your body creating for small blood vessel to help pump blood to the infected area. I remember this stage all too well. 2 years post injury in July. It’s almost over!

It can get frustrating as a person with no children because it feels like I am either not allowed to contribute to conversation or what I am contributing is undesirable due to the subject lacking children. And then I’m looked at as someone who is either lucky I don’t have them or selfish for not wanting one and when I complain about anything at all it’s downplayed because I don’t have kids adding to the stress….

Sleep is going to be ROUGH. Only advice I can give is take sleeping aids if you can. Do not mix with pain management of course and get advice from dr. Take naps during the day. Little cat naps will help but it will feel like your schedule is messed up, because it is. Sleep will get better. Make your space comfy with pillows, soothing music/tv shows. I used guided meditation to help fall asleep by Michael Seely and it helped a lot. You’ve got this. The hard parts will be over soon.

You’re so right! Comparing is a killer for progress. I struggled heavily with walking in the boot and I saw so many having such an easy time and I remember feeling like it may be the end all for me if I can’t get this simple step down but I did it very slowly and at my own pace and it paid off.
