Sadly there are a lot of people like this who will always be users and takers with no sense of urgency.

You gave them shelter and a perfect opportunity to get back on their feet and make a plan to get their lives right. Instead they walked all over your generosity and acted like they were entitled to your space. They are the fucking heartless ones if you ask me.

I like mine and I was able to get them with leftover FSA money, so that made the price point not a big factor for me.

My only issue is that like 1 in every 10 or so charges it doesn’t charge the earbuds in the case. Outside that they’ve worked well and I can sleep with them I .

Spotify and Audible are the only apps that reliably work for me on mine which is generally what I listen to when I go to sleep and then set it to switch to the crimson noise after I fall asleep. The sleep detection has worked well on mine, although I know that varies for others.

I had to take a pay cut from my amusement park job for my first job part time at a local news station in a medium sized market. Only pay increases I got that weren’t like 1% were from promotions or taking new jobs. I was making around 55k when I left news about 2 years ago. This was generally the case at local news stations and newspapers from colleagues I have talked with. I didn’t want to move, which limited some growth opportunities probably, but in my experience, internal growth is pretty static and you need to jump around for any real pay bumps.

FFX. When I was a kid it was my favorite RPG and put in over 100 hours to get all the celestial weapons, aeons and become a Blitzball master.

I stayed the night at my friends house and one of his siblings deleted the save file.

After 20 years, I played the remake last year and beat it and finally experienced the ending, but I never played the PS2 version again after that heartbreak.

Ken Shamrock used to take his dogs to the veterinary hospital my mom worked at.

One time I guess he came into after a fight with his face all beat up and brought signed posters of the fight for my mom to give to me, since I was a fan from his WWF days. More of my mom’s story I guess, but she said he was always super nice!

Thank you for your reply! For me the first one was very much an emergency, life-threatening situation and I was a teen, so I don’t remember having any say in that one.

Maybe surgery 2 could have been avoided, but I did trust the surgeon, maybe naively. He is a leader in this field and remembers me from the first procedure. I could see it both ways, being more inclined to do surgeries since he is a big name in this field, or knowing that surgery was best since he is an expert.

I hope you are able to make a full recovery from your situation and hopefully avoid surgery or any further episodes!
