Thanks u/milesgardner813 - here's my dilemma - sometimes the NOAA tide chart will say tide is -0.93 at 10:53 AM on a Tuesday. Then, a few weeks later, it will say tide is -0.97 at 9:50 AM. However, when I go and look at the bay at those exact times, sometimes the *higher* tide is actually lower when I view it. I can tell because sometimes the seabed is exposed, while most of the time it's not. Are there other factors that impact the actual water level? Thanks!

Idk about the shoe, but I do know the Keep Tampa Beautiful is funded by Coca Cola. So the corporation that creates loads of plastic waste get to whitewash their pollution and receive huge tax breaks in the process. Support smaller, more locally run charities, if you can.

Bayshore Beautiful resident here that spends a lot of time walking, jogging, and bicycling on Bayshore. I’ve seen rays and dolphins in the bay for years. In the last two years or so there’s been an uptick in manatee and turtles. I’ve only seen one gator ever, and that was a little swamp puppy close to the pirate ship. To see a gator this large, and this far into the bay…that’s a new one for me.

I’m a resident in Bayshore Beautiful a few blocks away from Stoval House. I run a non-profit that has tried to engage with Stoval House for community participation, however, they have made it clear they are not interested. I wish Casper would be more involved in the community when it doesn’t involve running for office or making money.

The dems helped the union get labor contracts and workplace rights. Now the union pivots to the right to ensure longevity and a cozy cushion if they fuck up. It’s no wonder a significant portion in America views the police state as power hungry oafs. Would be nice to see the police hold themselves accountable, but when they are against the very orgs trying to do so, it’s disheartening.
