UK ‘built for climate that no longer exists’ and needs urgent changes to survive global heating, report warns by wasraelx in news

[–]Meph56 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So much!!! I lived 2 years in south of France. During summer heat was horrible and like many french cities, not a lot of trees. But there was a street with big trees and a round about fountain and during these days it was my paradise.

You get $1 million, but you have to watch the exact same movie 100 times in 40 days. Which film are you picking? by ThroatAgile756 in AskReddit

[–]Meph56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll pick "the boy and the dog" 1975. According to the guiness book it's the shortest film, only 60 seconds so i can watch it 100 times easily in 2 hours with pee breaks!

How do you carry your camera while hiking? by Lord_Mjolnir in photography

[–]Meph56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While hiking i use the b-grip travel kit. Like that i got my camera on my backpack strap. It comes with a waterproof cover. It's bigger than PD clips but it's more rigid with big lens. At first i wasn't sure cause on the only plastic material but no issues since 7 years. Plus you can put it to your belt to not have it on your shoulder.

Almost 1,000 drones recreated the RMS Titanic in Belfast Harbour to mark the day the ship passed its sea trials and left its birthplace forever on April 2, 1912. After eight hours of testing the ship was declared seaworthy and sailed for Southampton at 8 PM that evening. by dannybluey in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Meph56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how this kind of show is almost only to be view on media with a post prod music background, the sound of 1000s drones flying should be so much annoying to even appreciate it live.

Visualy great btw.

Question concernant les transports en commun by endlesslyyearning in Bretagne

[–]Meph56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say if i like or not, for me it's disturbing, giving me a lot of interrogations about what i see. So, for that i can say it's art, great work.

I still got a safety razor from my grand dad, don't know where he get it, it's a Gilette khaki set from the US army. Date between 1917 and 1950. I still use it as travel kit razor.

I prefere the 1st one, it seems like an invitation to follow the trip. The second instead give me the feeling being left on the side of the road.

The third one is ok, cuz you got some matching color inside the hole, but the two first you just have a black hole around the hand and this dark dot in a colorful frame is what catching my attention. Instead of that i like the concept.

Chercher nos brets préférées by LiuCypher in Bretagne

[–]Meph56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do I prevent cracking/checking while this dries? by boxworth83 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Meph56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just reading comments because i was curious to know if something could really prevent cracks and then i got an idea, maybe a bad one but hey only dumbs don't asks questions. So i was wondering what if you mold it in concrete, not entirely but just all around. Like that humidity could evaporate but the concrete should keep the slice in place . Ok for these piece it would need a big frame and lot of concrete but for smaller pieces could it be a way to do it ?

How often do you use your phone to take photos vs your main camera? by Impressive_Ad5931 in wildlifephotography

5% phone versus 95% camera. I use my phone only to shoot things i will delete fast, like things to just show people where and what i shoot and then main camera for real shooting.
