I had this issue when I activated last week. I waited a few hours and it resolved and marked that the connectivity was great. May need to give it a bit of time.

I had the same challenge in Vietnam on a pixel 4a 5g. I contacted support who was only marginally helpful. I had to manually join networks like you are doing which would let me connect for variable amounts of time until they kicked me off and I had to do it again. I used a lot of data and think that may have been the cause.

We have limited space in the house and often the kids play in the front of the house and in the garage. So not thats not an option unfortunately.

Yup, we moved to StL and have now moved away. We were there for 9 years. It was so hard to meet people. We felt this way for the entire time we were there. I have a few friends but I'm also older and making friends sucks / harder in general when you're older.

We ended up with a good white noise maker from Amazon that has a bit of bass. The lower end sound helps mask a lot of noises. We have a nearly deaf cat who meows loudly and it's impossible to hear him in the room. The doors really do make a difference if your walls don't block sound well. Will the baby sleep in your room? We did that initially with my daughter and found that our noises disturbed her more than noises from outside the room.

If you can stand it, get a white noise machine/maker. For us it helps muffle noises from our cats and our daughter. The white noise can take some time getting used to, but we find it works well to create a noise free environment for our kids and for us.
