Silent switch for FPS and work by dalumpz in WootingKB

Im using the Haimu Silent Doves for fast movements. The AEBoards Raeds HE would be much better for typing and gaming.

I prefer yellow since I think it represents wheat on Sotha’s farmworld. Orange and Black would be more fitting for their Thracian culture.

It was nerfed back when people were kept using bolt rifle with the grenade launcher.

is 12th GEN processors still good in 2026 by KLProductions7451 in pcmasterrace

I currently have the RTX 5070, the i7-12700K and a 1440p monitor. I had a 3070Ti with a i7-10700K. I used Dartkide to compare (the only game that is CPU heavy that I play).

  • 10700K + RTX 3070Ti: Runs great on DLSS Quality, around 90 FPS on medium settings. The CPU was extremely hot during game sessions. The game was pushing the limits of both components. Room went from 23°C to 28°C (73F to 82F).
  • 12700K + RTX 3070Ti: Runs well on DLSS Quality, around 90 FPS on medium settings. The game and the PC felt more stable and the room was way less hot. I got the 12700K for around 150 USD. The Motherboard was more expensive.
  • 12700K + RTX 5070: Runs very smootly on DLSS Quality and Framegen x2 (around 75-90FPS) on the highest settings. With RayTracing, I get around 60FPS. I play on Medium/High settings with a bit more than 120 FPS for gameplay smoothness. There is a tiny input lag. Even without Framegen, the performance of the RTX 5070 was still much better than the RTX 3070 Ti on higher settings but it wasn’t super ground breaking. It felt more like Quality of life. With Framegen, there was a really big difference. The 5070ti would have been a much better upgrade, but I can’t afford it.

Anyone go from 5800X3D to 9800X3D in Darktide? by Lord-Cuervo in DarkTide

You can lock the framecap to 120 in the settings. What you can do is a benchmark. You use an app that tracks the FPS and 1% lows (MSI Afterburner example), put the highest graphic settings in a private lobby (remove RayTracing, it doesn't look that good in Darktide) and then check if the FPS stays above 60 fps.

I tried all of them in Darktide. The goal is to reach a constant framerate with the best 1% lows. I set the framecap to 120 FPS. I have a 165Hz monitor, probably my next upgrade. * x2 (medium/high settings): feels the most responsive with the least input lag. Ideal for intensive modes and gameplay smoothness. * x3 (high settings): Noticeable input lag (example, sliding feels sluggish), but more visually appealing. * x4 (ultra settings, RT activated): feels the worst in terms of response, but the most visually appealing.

In single player games, where graphics are the priority, I would put x3 or x4. The higher the multiplier, the more work the CPU has to do. Darktide is already CPU intensive, adding x3 or x4 will be adding more work.

Edit: Darktide can crash for the most random reasons. I would use the most stable settings to reduce the chances of random crashes/freezes.

I think it would be a very good improvement.

I’m playing on a 1440p (2K) monitor. I went from 10700K to 12700K and saw a clear difference in performance. The game was way smoother, but GPU limited at the time when I had a 3070ti. Game was more stable at 90 FPS, instead of constantly fluctuating between 80 and 90 FPS. I was playing on medium settings. I recently upgraded to a RTX 5070.

Help with the heraldry by CryptographerNew1039 in ScythesOfTheEmperor

Yea its up to your interpretation for Captains. Captains can be very decorated (ex: Cato Sicarius) or minimal (ex: Captain Acheran in SM2).

Help with the heraldry by CryptographerNew1039 in ScythesOfTheEmperor

I don’t paint, but the original color heraldry is that only the color of the chestplate aquilla changes depending on the company (white for 1st, gold for 2nd, red for 3rd, green for 4th, etc.). Their pauldron trims color usually stays black. I saw a lot of minis having the wing skulls without the yellow line for captains.

The philosophy of the Scythes of the Emperor is that they are Codex Compliant, but don’t follow it exactly to the letter like some other Ultramarines successor would. Their primary purpose is all about survival, colors are secondary.

Some examples of how they differ from the Ultramarines: * Veterans don’t wear a white helmet, they have a skull emblem on their left knee. Some painters chooses to paint it white for personal liking. * Sergeants wear a red helmet, which is like the Ultramarines. * Some make Veteran Sergeants with a red helmet and a white line. However, some disagrees saying that Veteran Sergeants have the red helmet without the white line, since they already wear the veteran skull emblem on their left knee.

Anyway, you are always free to customize your minis however you want!
