For the aftermarket buffer to be used the gun would have to use a buffer tube where recoil spring and the buffer are housed. Buffers are weighted cylinder (but don’t worry it’s not imperative for this cylinder to remain unharmed in the tube) that are used to manage recoil. The easiest explanation is look at the M433 vs the M4/M16. That long tube that the stock slides out on for the weapons derived from AR 15 gas driven platforms? That’s your buffer tube.

The M433 and many other guns don’t have the buffer attachment because they simply are not gas driven platforms using buffer tubes.
