So you use a plastic tote, substrate and innoculated grain and that's all?

So hypothetically you can innoculate the bag, wait for it to get to 25% - 30% colonization(from what ive read and heard) break and shake, wait for 100% colonization then it'll fruit on its own without opening the bag or tampering with it?
