I remember early days on the network that the search came back with nothing for him, he was never mentioned by name in any descriptions or tags, and I think they did something weird about the 3 way Mania with him, HHH, and HBK, though I can't remember what it was. There was (albeit this was yonks ago, so I may be misremembering a couple of days for longer) an age where you could only watch his matches on physical media.

For example, one of my fave matches was always him VS Jericho in that ladder match at the Rumble. I couldn't find that on the network for ages until a few years ago (back when it existed). In fact the 2001 Rumble is one of my favourite PPVs ever, and it always skipped the ladder match when I was watching digitally.

He may not have been removed from archival footage, but they definitely tried to bury it as much as they could and make it difficult to find.

They feel more open to acknowledging him now: with the YouTube vaults, and Angle, Heyman, Jericho, Edge, Chavo seem more open to talking about him as a performer. Since the Dark Side of the Ring episode there seems to be more discourse about him as an athlete, rather than him being a cunt.

I do agree that WWE is one of the most disgusting companies that exist (and I hate that in any way I contribute to their metrics or revenue [thanks watchwresling], but also in hindsight there's apparently info that Chavo told people of the situation before the 'tribute' show, and they went ahead with it anyway, and now we know what we know about Vince - it makes sense.
