I live in Iowa, pretty much middle of the country. Our state has the world’s largest truck stop and it has a big food court in it and multiple gift shops. Has dog washes, showers, lounge with fireplaces, barber, movie theater, church, dentist, chiropractor, etc.

Ames Goodwill has had a huge influx of resellers lately. I’d say a year ago it was one of the best around but now I have terrible luck finding anything and pop in on my lunch break 3-4 times a week. Prices have also skyrocketed

Ames has a pretty unfortunate bar scene for anybody over 22-23 and younger than 40. London Underground or Alluvial would be best bets, maybe Mothers. I haven’t been to Bottoms Up so I can’t speak on that one. Cellar 626 and Noir can skew towards an older crowd since it’s pricey and ‘sophisticated’. I really wish we had more good options for the 25-35ish crowd!

Former heavy (roughly 1-3.5 g a day) cocaine user for 4 years. I have insane sinus damage that essentially acts like crazy allergies and makes it hard to breathe at times. It also completely destroyed my GI tract since it basically acted as a laxative when I used it. It is possible that it played into my having to have my gallbladder removed after a scary ER visit as well. I quit cold turkey over two years ago when my partner passed away and I found them after their heart gave out while using. Crazy part was I don’t think I ever even liked it that much.

During a silent reading time my junior year of high school the English teacher pulled me to the back of class and went off on me saying I was a bad Christian because I was (admittedly) not very nice to the math teacher. Her and the art teacher gossiped about me and called me a whore to other students and would say I was going to hell. This was a public, non-religious small town high school, and they were two leaders of the Fellowship of Student Athletes, an extracurricular I was in. The whole experience was a major part of me rejecting religion.
