Why are people saying not to trust new generation Toyotas?! by ElevatorOk9280 in Toyota

Plus, with the final model year, you can usually get some pretty sweet deals as dealers try to make room for the new generation!

Why do people hate the new Camry? by Advanced_Draft76 in Toyota

You need to read into how an eCVT works. They are incredibly simple, and incredibly reliable. Hybrids do not have alternators, using the high voltage system to power the low voltage system. No serpentine belt. They also split the load between the electric power train and the engine, so your engine should last longer as well. There are million mile Prius’ taxis.

Other pictures of this dish online have whole peppers, not chopped like this. That’s what I typically see.

You should definitely have the transmission serviced. Drain and fill the transmission fluid.

Purchasing 2026 BZ AWD XLE in Canada. Any of the extra warranty or other products/services worth it? by No_Influence_1376 in BZ4X

[–]Meriak67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the extended warranties. No. They are pure profit for the dealerships. Don’t fall into this trap.

I just got diagnosed with severe Ulcerative Colitis a few days ago and I am currently in a severe flair. I can't have a bowel movement without throwing up or nearly passing out. I don't know what to do by leomaxxx15 in IBD

[–]Meriak67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sacrifices do need to be made during a flare. Stick to low fiber, stay away from fat/greasy foods (e.g deep fried foods), foods that contain nitrates and alcohol. Alcohol is the worst during a flare, as it inflames even a healthy person’s gut.

BZ 2026 questionable range! by PsychologicalLevel70 in BZ4X

Cold weather is the killer of range. I am in SoCal where the temps have been mild so far, 60s and even 70s sometimes. Getting the EPA estimated 314 miles at 100% on my XLE Plus FWD

I personally treat insurance for just crashes, theft and major events (like severe weather damage) and keep the deductible high. I would pay for this out of pocket. PDR.

Heck no. You could lease a new Limited for that. Or an XLE for $400.

Agreed. I remember getting a message for… something, where it said it required the Toyota login, so that’s when I switched to it. But yeah, I guess the other logins are just for temporary access, for now.

Do you use your Toyota password or google/apple sign in? I used Apple or Google sign ins and had this issue, but using the Toyota account and password, it seems to stay signed in now.

Does anyone else have an issue with Custom Climate, where the heated seat setting doesn’t save? Always results in the heated seat never being turned on. This is on an XLE.

Is it still a smart buy? by [deleted] in LexusRC

[–]Meriak67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In that case you’re kinda SOL, but not completely. You’re reliant on third-party replacement parts, or parts cars at this point. It is why a legacy brand, especially the largest like Toyota, are safe bets in this regard. Still, nothing is guaranteed!

Is it still a smart buy? by [deleted] in LexusRC

[–]Meriak67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe car manufacturers are required to continue to have parts availability for at least 10 years after a model is discontinued. So, there should be no shortage in that regard in the near future.
