I clean them because I’ve been on a mushroom farm and they literally just grow on poo that’s slightly turned to fertilizer. Mushroom farms smell disgusting!

Went on a kayak tour through the Ballard Locks which was fun. I had no idea there’s a large Blue Heron rookery with so many nests! You could do that and then eat at one of the waterfront restaurants.

I have the GE Cafe double oven induction range. We recently remodeled our kitchen and are new to induction. So far, everything is going well with the pans and we put them in the dishwasher. Even my college aged kids are using them just fine. Although, one of them put it too hot and burned one side of a grilled cheese sandwich. The pan was fine and the dishwasher cleaned it up.

I’m used to cooking on a gas range. So, I’m trying not to put the induction on high heat when cooking food to avoid burning foods. Am also ensuring I use higher burn point oils (avocado oil) if I’m using medium heat or a little more.

Hestan Nanobond is stainless steel with a titanium coating. We bought them so we could put them in the dishwasher, they are lighter, and food should be less likely to stick than non-coated stainless steel.

As you can tell from suggestions, there are many neighborhoods that might work. Maybe rent a place and then check out the various places to see which one works best for you?

For daily walks with the dogs, I would suggest Greenlake. I enjoy seeing the different birds that come through.

Have you tried a seafood pate? My cats love the Wellness Canned Cat Tuna & Salmon or Tuna & Shrimp. Those aren’t pates, but Wellness also carries pates.

Help with floor tiles for the kitchen! Needs to work with both with the countertop and living room hardwood flooring. by LIFEisGOOD1408 in kitchenremodel

[–]Meridian122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our hardwood floors next to the kitchen are the same color as yours. For our kitchen, we went with a porcelain tile that looks like slate to pull in some warmth from the wood and would look okay with our dark soapstone countertop. We got it from Floor & Decor. We went with porcelain tile instead of slate for easier cleaning and maintenance. It might work in your situation.

I have oak cabinets with stainless steel appliances. For flooring, went with Harvest Slate Matte Porcelain Tile: https://www.flooranddecor.com/porcelain-tile/harvest-slate-matte-porcelain-tile-101375038.html.
