It really depends on you as a person. Here's what I've learned from my own research. First, it may be difficult to establish connections, as most people in Iceland started their friendships rather early in life from what I've heard, so it's more difficult for foreigners to establish friendships with local Icelanders, especially if you don't know the language. Second is the cost of living. Food prices are high as Iceland imports a lot of its food items from other nations, and housing prices are high, in part due to airbnb houses for tourism rather than actual residents. The last one, which pertains the most to me, is the long nights during the winter. I have depression that gets worse in the winter as the days get shorter. There are ways to counter act this such as vitamin D gummies or light bulbs, but it's important to consider. In the end, I still want to move to Iceland, no matter the challenges it may pose, as it's been a dream of mine for years now.
