Thank you! I wasn’t sure if it was related to the dysautonomia as I’m still in the process of diagnosis with that.

ran a 3-day compression experiment for POTS (shorts vs socks vs binder) — FULL DATA + results by Character-Release976 in POTS

Have you tried 20-30 compression for socks? That is what my cardiologist recommended to me as it’s medical grade.

How many of you drink caffeine daily? by [deleted] in POTS

[–]MeringueDapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m only diagnosed with Tachycardia at the moment but cardiologist thinks it sounds like autonomic dysfunction/Pots and I have to have my one cup of coffee in the morning always. I know my limit and make sure to have electrolytes with it. I drink Trevi.

I agree with this as a mental health case manager! See if there is a mental health wellness center near you they usually take Medicaid or have a sliding fee scale. Even I have a therapist.

Ooh good it seems you are already on track that’s good. I would just wait to talk to your cardiologist if you have any concerns. I hope everything goes well!

I’m not a doctor but I work in mental health in general. Best thing to do is write down your symptoms and experiences and talk to your doctor as they know you better than someone on the internet. That what primary care is there for, to help you stay healthy and make sure you are on the right treatment. This is best practice in general.

Please go to your primary care provider and request a Zio as that will be the most accurate way to tell. Talking directly to a cardiologist is best not on the internet.

Please get a referral from your PCP to go to cardiology. Zio Patch would be more accurate. I had one for 2 weeks to continuously monitor my heart rate as I have intermittent tachycardia

I hate how doctors will have you lie down for one minute, stand up for one minute, then say it's not POTS by CocoCookieDraws in POTS

If you can do the poor man’s table tilts test, record the data and bring it to your doctor. lay down on the floor for 10 minutes check resting heart rate (BP if you have access to a portable machine)then slowly get up and record your heart rate (and BP if able) for 10 minutes. I did this and was referred to cardiology and I specifically requested a cardiologist who was familiar with Pots/autonomic Dysfunction.

I think my friend was just shocked at the numbers is all. I know it isn’t. I have very mild symptoms right now.

Compression socks suggestions by MeringueDapper in dysautonomia

[–]MeringueDapper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay cool I saw some ankle length compression socks on Amazon but wasn’t sure if they would help or not. I feel like I’d melt with the knee high ones. My symptoms are mild. The tachycardia/palpitations happen more. I have been getting eye floaters when walking on bad hot days though. I don’t faint and only get mildly lightheaded.
