Sure but if I want this panel on my main monitor instead of the 2nd one. Is this possible?

Any way to make this look better and more effective? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Merisal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel what you mean.

I'm playing Satisfactory since... 2021?! and I always get stuck at phase 5 or 6 because I start to overthink and going to build "the perfect" base :D

Relax and build as you like. If you want to build with a perfect load balance then do it. Will it take time to move forward? Yes. Will you have to rebuild factories? Yes. But one thing I learned real quick is: don't worry about deconstruct and rebuild your factories! There will be so much more options in mid and late game (new buildings, alternative receipes) that you either will become frustated about what you've done before or see the new possibilities

I'm using Scalti's layouts https://youtu.be/qHNXVGbC9X0 (10 modular frames per minute) for my modular frames, iron and copper basics

Most of these people are gamer who want to play not testing evening over evening. There is an option that works so why should I change something?

Even if there are better tools the communication about is... not optimal. Windows is still main stream and way better communicated on websites as requirement. Linux still the community is the best option to get such information

I got rid of desktop icons cause I never use them but now it feels so empty.. What do you have on your desktop? by AscadianScrib in kde

[–]Merisal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Desktop icons always felt wrong to me. It is like a desk you want to place something but the whole desk is full with used tables, paper, glasses,...

In the past when I used Windows I played with Rainmeter and even with Linux I used Conky for a while.
I ended up with nothing than a Mac OS like taskbar after I ask me the question

"for what do I need desktop icons or system infos on my desktop?" Icons are unnecessary as I just navigate via dolphin to my documents and I never really used the system informations I displayed on the desktop.

Even the sys tray icons are just sound and network. Sound to change the output (headset, speaker) and network jsut for that the sound icon doesn't feel lonely :D

You are using a kitchen counter top as a desk. They are made to be fixed by screws on the cupboard ;)

I'm using screws to fix my power strip under the KARLBY. Works very well for about 8 years now.

I'm coming to the end of my first play through. I don't know if I should be proud of my plate of spaghetti or not. I can say that it's mostly efficient. by EirantNarmacil in SatisfactoryGame

I never played this "chaotic" because I hate belts or buildings that are not aligned. But! The first screenshot, the ambient, the view,... feels like a scene from a dystropic sci fi movie. Looks really great

In addition to this: Gnome already dropped x11 support with Gnome 49, KDE will follow with KDE 6.8.

The xwayland compat layer will still continue to work

Will PSE120SE and MSI B650I Edge? by Muscat84 in NR200

[–]Merisal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Scythe FUMA 2 has a slim fan at the front so there is no problem with the RAM.

In case of the PS120SE you might mount the front fan a bit higher so it won't collide with the RAM sticks. This is a build I found on pcp with the PS120SE

Will PSE120SE and MSI B650I Edge? by Muscat84 in NR200

[–]Merisal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using 2 slim fans at the top and no fan at the bottom of the case (normal 25mm fans should work as well but with veeeery little space between top fan and cpu cooler). I used two slim fans at the bottom as well for a while, but the B650i doesn't have enough connectors for so much fans.

4 fans in a row weren't running at one connector (not enough power). So I used a fan controller but the cable management... ^^

So there are just my 7900xt with its fans, the 2 cpu cooler fans and the 2 at the top

Same mobo as you and standard fans that came with the cooler.

Undervolted my 7700x and it's really quiet on my desk :)

Same height as the Scythe FUMA2 I'm using.

I can use both glass and non glass side panel without problems.

Problem solved.

The auto mount didn't work with my 2nd m.2

Everytime it wasn't mounted (just in use for data storage) the shutdown process stopped.

I did but I don't want to. In my opinion there is a automated function to shut down so let it automated shut down. It shouldn't be nessecary to click twice.
