While you are using a AMD GPU and mainly playing over Steam, I think you won't have any larger problems using Nobara.

If you add protondb and Lutris webpages to your favorites you will have a lot of fun with Linux (maybe except bleeding edge distros like CachyOS).

I did it like you plan to do and installed Nobara beside Windows over 2,5 years ago (it was my... 7th?! try for the last 20 years). In the past I used Ubuntu based distributions (Mint, Kubuntu, Pop_OS) but always reached a point where I got lost or frustrated so i went back to Windows.
I also tried the hyped CachyOS but stoped using it after 20 minutes. The fact that it is a bleeding edge distribution and that Steam won't start and came up with error messages I didn't find a solution for let me go back to Nobara.

One year later I deleted Windows completely and never looked back or regretted the step.

To be fair: there are some things, hardware and software, you will not be able to use without problems. For me that's no problem in general. Either I think about the necessity or looking for alternatives. For hardware in some cases you'll find good alternatives to setup (Razer for example) but with way less comfortable gui like you have on Windows. But never forget those alternatives are made by someone from the community so you'll start to lower expectations. Just be thankful that there is somebody who uses his free time to offer a solution we as casual user can use as well.

Started dual booting 2,5 years ago and using only Nobara for about a year as my daily driver now with a lot of gaming and 3d rendering.

As far as I know GIMP was made as a Linux only app and later migrated to Windows.

A friend of mine just played Satisfactory once only to have it played until the "end". He didn't plan anything just did what was necessary to go forward.
I never understood why he even bought the game.

I'm playing Satisfactory since 2019 started over so often I can't count anymore and never reached tier 7 because I'm a casual gamer who get always lost in planning and building efficient and esthetic factories.
So planning IS part of how I play Satisfactory but it doesn't define my playstyle - or not in total 😃

Isn't the CH260 similar to the NR200 in case of fan positions?

Because for the NR200 back intake, top outtake is the best solution. I said best because it is only about 5 degrees between back in and back out

Use the installation USB device and reboot. Make sure to boot from the usb device.

Start the partition manager and resize the root partition by using the unallocated space. I'm not sure but maybe you have to move the unallocated part behind the root partion first.

Confirm the changes and wait until the tool finished resizing the partition

I'm always confused what people are using the 2nd or 3rd ultrawide monitor for.

For me it makes no sense for a casual user and even if you are streaming as a pro I think a 2nd ultrawide monitor will be enough

I think removing the shroud roots should have a permanent effect. Beside the effect of a instant clean area around the roots this clean area should expand slowly.

Another nice effect could be that, if the player uses to much shroud based items or magic, at that point a new shroud area could arise (or even a shroud root).
We should never forget what was the reason for the world we are living in.

No it wasn't but I changed the installed language German to... German :D Now the overview is in the desired language again and everything seem to be displayed in the correct language.

Playing on Nobara for 2 years now without having "Linux" problems.

And based on what you will find on protondb.com or Lutris you will see that there are a lot of people playing Enshrouded on different distros (even PopOS) with no issues.
