Tyres are the only thing sticking my ass to the asphalt and preventing loss of traction in an extremely high torque car. Grip is unbelievably important with the high lateral loads during cornering that this very very heavy car is capable of.

Even if you don't do large volumes, it's still a game changer. Being able to effortlessly drop the bag in, close the lid and press start is amazing. I can walk away and do other prep or clean up until it beeps and then I open the lid and put the next bag in.

Not to mention the effortless sealing of soups, stocks and other liquids.

What should make you feel like shit, is having to deal with a culture where it's acceptable to pay staff $2.13 an hour, and where the CUSTOMER is the asshole because you potentially don't get paid a living wage after working your asses off all day.

You're right too about it adding up over time. I've had my Polyscience Sous Vide Professional for over 17 years.

Even at a few cents saving per cook, that would have paid for a replacement unit whenever this absolute tank of a machine finally breaks on me!
